Indications

temporarily relieves cough
helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to rid bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus.

Drug Interaction Precautions
Do not use if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.

Warnings
Phenylketonurics: Contains phenylalanine 8.4mg per teaspoonful (5mL)

Ask a doctor before use if you have: cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus), a chronic cough that lasts or as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema.

I can't rave enough about this product. It works so much better than Mucinex and still without the corn syrup from other syrups. It helped my awful congestion in my chest clear up faster and took away that uncomfortable, nonproductive cough I'd been suffering from. I will definitely keep some in my medicine chest from now on. I'm not diabetic, but who needs the added sugar?!
