soothing would be the perfect word to describe the shampoo. i had been looking for something besides dandruff shampoos to relieve dry scalp, and i don't think i would ever use another product besides this. doesn't dry out my hair at all, and the flaking, itchy scalp has disappeared. (and smells good)

This is the only product for itchy scalp that's ever worked for me (I don't have dandruff). Cleans really well, leaves hair very soft but you will want conditioner if you have unruly, style-challenged hair like I do! It has a mildly clean smell, not at all medicinal, flowery or, worst of all, like food. Also, a little goes a long way.

I deal with an irrirated scalp due to stress.. this shampoo does the trick, it is soothing and helps my scalp recover from my nervous habit of scratching it. it does not last all day, but does a good job for most of the day.

My husband and daughter have a dry scalp issue. We have tried every dandruff shampoo on the market. None of the other products ever worked. One day we found this product and decided why not....we were very impressed. Our daughter's scalp issue cleared up in just a couple of days. She uses this product daily. My husband was pleased as well. Don't waste your money on anything else...this is the dandruff/dry scalp cure. It is hard to find in local stores, I usually have to order it online.

I love this shampoo, but it is getting harder to find - I really hope it never gets discontinued. I have already used about 5 bottles and plan to continue using this as long as they make it. This is saying a lot because I usually switch shampoos each time I run out. This is great for a dry, flaky, itchy scalp. No other shampoo I tried worked (mainly upscale salon brands), but this one works perfectly on my scalp, but it isn't super-drying on my hair the way that many dandruff shampoos are. I can't say enough great things about this shampoo! The shampoo lathers well and has a light, pleasant scent, but the best thing about it is it makes my scalp happy!

You know how you sometimes don't notice how well something has worked for a while? That's what happened for me with this shampoo and conditioner. I have suffered from horrible year-round indoor/outdoor allergies for my entire life, including an INCESSANT scalp itch! I was just sitting here, miserable with body itches from playing in the backyard pollen mess with my kids and realized that my scalp is the only part of my body that doesn't itch! I combined this gentle shampoo and conditioner (love the scent, by the way) with Scalpicin only a few weeks ago, and for the first time in my life, my scalp doesn't itch.
