If you don't want your hair moving in awhile this product is for you! Only use just enough because overuse will cause super stiff hair and if you go to brush it out it feels horribly dry and looks just as bad until the next shampoo. The key here is don't use too much!!!

I have curly, frizzy hair which is time consuming to straighten. Most hairsprays with the first ingredient listed as "water" don't seal my hair to prevent frizzies nearly as well as Alberto VO5 does. I won't uses anything else.

I purchased this to replace another brand of hairspray that I'd ran out of. It's good and probably great if I had thin hair, but my hair is VERY thick and this just did not quite hold enough for me. Not bad at all. I gave it 4 stars because it is aerosol, and therefore you can't easily travel with it. Happily, it has the all-important nozzle with diffuse-spreading mist, instead of that horrid wide white nozzle that sprays out in strong bursts. Folks with fine hair must have the former type of nozzle. Sadly, because it is right for fine hair, it will likely be discontinued soon. I suggest you stock up. It's inexpensive enough to do that.

When I purchased this from drugstore.com, I had no idea what to expect. I have fine hard to hold hair. But, this stuff is amazing. Have not been able to find it locally, and I live in NYC, so I purchased a much more expensive brand when I ran out, and it leaves this white stuff in my hair. I have extremely fine, limp, flat hair, and I have tried just about every hairspray on the market. After trying VO5 Max, I will never need another hairspray. It holds long and strong, and I can apply as much as I need to hold my hard-to-manage hair without any visible residue or cakey-ness. Luckily, it holds so well that it doesn't take much. VO5 Max is an AWESOME product, and I highly recommend it for anyone like me who has fine, limp hair.

My first thought was that it would be another can which would produce cardboard hair and more overspray on my vanity. Much to my surprise, it only takes a brief spray to achieve the desired hold and no more damaging overspray on the vanity. Finally I found a product which I hope will continue to be an open item.
