Gets all the dead skin off better than a pumice stone. Leaves elbows, hands, and feet feeling soft! There are other brands out there that do not compare to this one! Great exfoliater!

I used this years ago to remove dry skin on my feet and elbows. It worked well then and it works well now. The dry skin just rolls off. My skin is left smooth and I don't worry about snagging my pantyhose. I'm glad it is still available.

Many of the comments indicate that this product doesn't absorb well etc., which leads me to wonder if the purchasers have used the product correctly; admittedly the instructions are a bit unclear. This wonderful exfoliant should never be left on the skin, and is not intended to be used as a moisturizer. Rather, it is intended to be used as a manual exfoliator, meaning you apply it to dry skin, say your hands, and rub and rub till slowly the palmitic acid (active ingredient) begins to slough off the dead skin. I think the paraffin is what keeps the product from absorbing, so that you can keep rolling the dead skin off. After you are done with this manual exfoliation, you must wash the area thoroughly with a detergent of some sort to remove the waxy residue. When I use this on my hands, I do so at the kitchen sink so the dead skin can easily be rinsed away, and I follow up with two hand washings with dishwashing liquid. Even then I sometimes still have some paraffin remaining around my fingernails. Using a manicure brush with the dishsoap, which totally removes it. I also end up with a minor waxy film in my sink, so that needs addressed with dishsoap and a scrubby sponge also. When I am doing my own pedicure, I sit on the countertop, put my feet in the kitchen sink (I have a very large stainless steel sink) and do the same routine. I often add more product as the initial application begins to dry, and continue rubbing away at my skin, and it keeps on sloughing away dead skin. Often I follow up with a sea salt (oil-based) scrub, and then rinse that off, before ending with the detergent-based cleaning to remove all the residue. Yes, it is a bit of extra work, but the results are worth it. I would not be able to live without Pretty Feet & Hands! I've used it my entire life, and it is worth the extra effort for the wonderful results that only this product can deliver.

A little goes a long way! Removed most of the dead skin. I used before the shower so I could easily rinse it off and then moisturize. I still have some problem spots but that is from wearing combat boots in Iraq. I will definitely buy this again and recommend it to anyone too.
