After long term sinus issues I had used many products trying to resolve stuffiness and 'dirty' sinus'. This product is by far more effective than anything else out on the market. The flow of solution needed to effectively irrigate the sinus' is accomplished by this system. Netipot, sprays, etc. do not have enough volume/force to remove impurities from the cavities of your sinus'. You definately need to use warm water and insure it is filtered (high chlorine will give you a burning sensation). Also, I saw a review which stated you can make your own salt/soda mix...careful with that...regular salt/soda found in stores are not pharmaceutical grade and contain impurities. Overall this is the system you should purchase due to the volume of solution and ease of use. Try it, you will not be disappointed!

Saline irrigation clearly works, but this product is a real pain to use. Mixing your own solution is like buying Coke concentrate and mixing up your own batch of cola. Simply Saline is much easier to use, and also has no preservatives, but is sterile. My doctor recommended it to me after having sinus surgery, due to its sterility. This method works great! With the pot, I couldn't get much flow from one side due to a deviated septum. Certain times of year, I get post nasal drip all day! I had to have my tonsils removed, due to tonsil stones, caused by phlegm. This is a life saver! I use it 2-3 times a day and it helps tremendously!! Can't say enough good things about it! It takes a bit of getting used to, for some people, the feeling of water flowing through your sinuses and out the other nostril, but it's really not a big deal. Squeezing the bottle gently is the key. I have allergies all year, and the post-nasal drip causes a year round cough. After using this frequently (usually about every other day), it's all but completely gone. Anti-histamines have never worked for me, so this is a great answer...easy, natural and no side effects.

A few years ago I was diagnosed with Acute Sinusitis-- I get very frequent sinus infections. I started out using antibiotics for these sinus infections, but antibiotics have many side affects and can depress the immune system. My doctor then recommended this sinus rinse, and WOW! I have been using this product for 2 years-- daily when I have a sinus infection, once a week when I have seasonal allergies. This saline rinse works wonders. It is fast-acting and effective. I've recommended this product to all my friends!

It is the weirdest feeling to use one of these, and I usually have to psych myself up to use it (just because it feels weird), but it is extremely helpful during cold or allergy season. It helps keep sinuses clean.
I really prefer the squeeze bottle application over the neti pot. This is just a personal preference.

My husband's doctor recommended this to him when he was suffering from sinus pressure and cold symptoms. He had previously used the NetiPot by Neilmed, but much prefers this delivery method now. He says that it feels like it is irrigating much better, and really getting to the problem instead of just filtering through.

Using Your Sinus Rinse Kit
It's easy to use your NeilMed Sinus Rinse Regular Kit as often as once a day, and the process will soon become part of your routine. Heat the water in the microwave to a comfortable temperature and then pour a packet of Sinus Rinse mixture into the bottle and shake gently to dissolve the solution. Stand in front of the sink with your head tilted down and your mouth slightly open, and gently squeeze half the contents of the bottle into one of your nostrils. After the rinse flushes out your nasal passages, it will drain out your other nostril into the sink.
