Horrible!

I wanted to give this a fair try, so I used it every morning for a full week, but it never got any better. The smell is awful and never goes away--smells sort of like ginger mixed with something that stinks. It's a bizarre smell. Also there's nothing calming about this product. In fact, it's the only moisturizer I've ever tried that actually burns my face! I threw this out after my one-week trial.

I've used this product for about a year now and I love it. It is very moisturizing and works well at relieving the blotchy red spots I get around my mouth. My sister has rosecea and this product did not lessen her reddness, but my blotches tend to disappear within 15min of putting on the lotion. The only downfall is that it doesn't seem to last very long (or perhaps I just have really dry skin) I apply it at night, again in the morning, without washing my face in between, and still seem to need another reapplication around 4-5pm. But otherwise it is a very good product for dry, sensitive skin, that tends to get occassional reddness.

My face started having a pinkish tone to it after I started using a prescription for my acne and I wanted to try this to see if I could get rid of the redness it was causing. I definitely noticed a difference. However, it does make my skin feel oily/greasy on my forehead and around my chin, so I would only like this product better if it didn't make me feel so oily after a couple hours after applying it.

I use this product everyday to help with redness and dryness due to the weather or the occasional pimple. I have really sensitive skin and this moisturizer is one of the few my face can tolerate. The SPF is a great bonus and my face never burns, even with just one application in the morning. Worth the money.

-I use it on my face, neck and arms to protect from the sun. -User friendly packaging. I like the pump - no need for unscrewing a top. -The only Con I can think of is that "soy" and "feverfew" can be potentially irritating ingredients to some people. If you are allergic to soy or have very sensitive skin, you could have a reaction. (Go to cosmeticscops.com to learn about different ingredients. There are also very good product reviews there.)

Occasionally I try something other than my standard Oil of Olay complete with SPF. I bought this a second time forgetting why I hadn't switched the first time I tried it. I was soon reminded by my completely broken out face.

I have sensitive skin with very occasional rosiness. This product stings my face within about two minutes. After a half hour it stops stinging. Bought it because I thought it had less harsh ingredients. Perhaps it's the feverfew... be aware of "natural" ingredients. Perhaps it is an allergy. Look at the ingredient list.

My problem isn't acne (though I do get the occasional zit). My problems are the red marks left from the breakouts from years ago. No scarring, just redness. It's incredibly irritating because while my skin feels smooth and supple, it looks a mess. This was my last resort after months of trying every product and home remedy in existence. The first month or two it didn't make as miraculous a difference as I would have hoped. So I stopped using it for a couple of months. I started using this again a couple of weeks ago and I'm amazed at how perfect my skin looks. Granted, my skin isn't as bad as it was the first time, but I'm so impressed at the improvement it made. I have combination skin and this left my face oily so I would recommend using this at night as the effects last. I think the benefits far outweigh the oily skin which can easily be fixed with a touch up or two and even oil blotting sheets, hence the 5 stars.

It's been less than a week and I can say this product works. I have Rosacea and before that I was always using products to manage acne so my skin tends to be sensitive. I was very afraid at first to try something new because as some of you may know, skin with Rosacea gets irritated very easily and it's very difficult to normalize it. I have oily skin and this lotion is very light, feels good on the skin, the skin absorbs it quickly (feels like a mousse), I don't see shine after I apply it, of course my oily skin will become oily after a while but it's not because of the Aveeno lotion. One tip, if you are going to use it for the first time, begin applying it on your forehead which is the less sensitive part in some people, then move to the cheeks and if you don't feel any discomfort go on and put in on the rest of your face. I use Cetaphil normal to oily wash but I want to try the Aveeno Ultra Calming wash because I really like the daily lotion. The smell is delicious too!

This is an effective moisturizer and I love the pump. I probably won't use it in the summer as it might be a bit heavy for that, but for winter in a cold region of the country, it's great. I don't really notice a significant problem with shine and I don't have really dry skin. I think it does reduce mild redness. I like it overall!
