I have 2 in my freezer at all times. I find them readily available for my aches and pains. These are the best ice packs; they feel soft and mold around your body parts to make a comfortable cold compress. I haven't used them warm, but I'm sure they work equally well for that use.

exactly what I had hoped for. Had used this product for years.Was glad to be able to replace original.

I have used this product for years for chronic pain. When I began using it, it was a godsend. A few years later the product completely changed the gel-like substance inside, and it didn't stay heated nearly as long as it previously did. Then a few years later I noticed that some of them came filled with air in the bag, which made it difficult to feel the heat inside the gel. Now they changed the product again in that they still come with air in them, but now the gel sloshes around so much that it moves away from where the heated gel is applied with the slightest pressure, and they all started leaking much, much sooner than previously. I am disappointed in the deteriorating quality of the product, and it is still the most effective product of its kind on the market, but I am so disappointed in the changed quality that I am open to finding a better alternative. I recommended this to a friend unaware of the recent changes, and now I am ashamed of my recommendation because of the disappointing performance. I will order them again for now, but wish they would return to their previous higher quality.

I have a disc problems and when I sit too long I get a burning in my lower back and legs. The cold packs help me make it through the day. I did notice that the product has changed. I really liked the old ones better that did not have the strap. [@]

This is the best heat pack that I have ever found. I have bought quite a few of these packs (probably over ten in the past five years). Initially I was nuking them several times a day and they do eventually wear out, but for the most part I am only using them once a day now. I have given them as gifts to several people and they love them too. I have used them as ice packs as well, but I have several other ice packs that I had bought before these packs so I only use these packs for heat. I think that they will last longer if they are not going from the freezer to microwave all of the time. To be honest these packs along with my ice packs got me through a very difficult several year period of intense pain. I am better now thanks to great Chiropractic and Manual Physical Therapist care but I do still use them daily because they help my remaining pain.

I am a Medical Asst. of 30 years I also am quite athletic. I have had serious discomfort in my lower back and knees from surgeries. This is the best way to mock moist deep heat as from a hydro pack system you would get at Physical therapy. I love it. I just wish they made it tougher. It will not last long if you use it daily or often. The Stress cracks it gets from heating too often will break down the plastic that holds the gel. If that gets on your skin you will be burned no doubt. I still order three at a time just so I always have one available. For now it is the best on the market as I said to give you what sore muscles, arthritis etc. needs for relief of pain and deep soreness. The other great thing is because it is microwaveable you can take it anywhere with you for over night stays. Do Not make the mistake that more time in the microwave than instructed will give you more heat. You will burst the bag and that will be the end of your comfort until you are able to buy a new one. One time over heated will distory your heating bag. Be sure to follow instructions and all will be well. I even bought one and gave it to my Doc when he had rotator surg. He had not had comfort at home such as this. No pill replaces this product for eazing pain.

These are GREAT. I have 3, and I am ordering 2 more. We only use them for colds. With a chronic lower back, it covers the whole lower back area, horizontally or vertically. It might only last for 1 hour, but it is great.

These microwave heating pads are great...for a short while, but after repeated heating, they develop blisters, and burst inside the cover. This will happen over time, even if they are not overheated. They provide very long lasting heat, they just don't last a long time.

i recently purchased this KAZ Hot/Cold pack for a shoulder rotator cuff tear. It is an ideal size for my shoulder and area around the injury. I go between Hot and Cold- it's great and has help me during my recovery after surgery. I have tried other products, and this has been the best. It stays cold or hot, and easily conforms to your injured body part. I recommend this KAZ product for any injury.
