I purchased 4 of these cold packs last month. The blue cover does not fit the ice pack. In the past year the cold pack itself has diminished in size but now the cover is smaller than the cold pack and rips very easily when trying to insert the pack.

Was looking for a larger cold pack for an arthritic hip and found this at a good price (also eligible for FSA reimbursement at the time). I love that it has its own cover. Haven't used the velcro-elastic yet, but that is probably great for icing your shoulder or knee.

I have 2 in my freezer at all times. I find them readily available for my aches and pains. These are the best ice packs; they feel soft and mold around your body parts to make a comfortable cold compress. I haven't used them warm, but I'm sure they work equally well for that use.

I have used this product for years for chronic pain. When I began using it, it was a godsend. A few years later the product completely changed the gel-like substance inside, and it didn't stay heated nearly as long as it previously did. Then a few years later I noticed that some of them came filled with air in the bag, which made it difficult to feel the heat inside the gel. Now they changed the product again in that they still come with air in them, but now the gel sloshes around so much that it moves away from where the heated gel is applied with the slightest pressure, and they all started leaking much, much sooner than previously. I am disappointed in the deteriorating quality of the product, and it is still the most effective product of its kind on the market, but I am so disappointed in the changed quality that I am open to finding a better alternative. I recommended this to a friend unaware of the recent changes, and now I am ashamed of my recommendation because of the disappointing performance. I will order them again for now, but wish they would return to their previous higher quality.
