The smell is not as bad as other tanners I have tried. Wasn't crazy about color. I think the medium is only good if you are extremely pale. I naturally have a little color in my skin, and this didn't do much for me.

I was recently had skin cancer at a very young age, so my italian skin is now pasty white! This product works fantastically and I never knew how much I missed my tan until I used it! Cheap price and real results! Negative side: smells horrible and feels sticky!

This self tanner is the best I have ever used. Gradual, nice golden color in only 3 days. The scent is not unpleasant, it smells like suntan lotion. Reminiscent of the days in the backyard with the coconut oil and Ban de Soliel gelee in the metal tube.

Overall, the product was okay. I took away points because of the smell, it smells like the tanning salon. Also, like any other bronzer, it does have an orange coloring to it in areas like your elbows, feet, or hands. Also, you are to wait until it is dry before putting on your clothes, and it never really felt dry. It did however show a difference after a couple days, and after a week and a half, I felt like I was getting the full color of the product. I think if I were to purchase again, I would get the lighter skin tone. The full effects of the medium on my skin did not look good.

I assume the 4 and 5 star ratings come from those with extremely pale or fair skin. I have a medium skin tone, and see little to no results with this product or any of the new daily glow lotions on the market. I'm sticking with the self tanners!

I am on Day 5 or 6 of using this gradual self-tanner, and am pretty darn pleased with the results. I took a chance and, even though I'm fair-skinned, I bought the "medium skin tone" lotion. I really like the gradual approach, since if I don't apply it evenly one day, I can make up for it the next without being obvious. And yes, it does smell a little funky, but I think all tanners do. I only use it on my otherwise pasty-white legs, so maybe that's why I don't smell it as strongly as some others do. I like that it doesn't turn my skin orange (I suspect it depends on the product AND each individual's body chemistry, similar to how a certain perfume scent can smell wonderful on Person A, but awful on Person B). I'm sticking with this safe alternative to laying in the sun! :)

The product I got has a pleasant rose scent-and I've smelled plenty of stinky tanners. This one is very pleasant, but then again, maybe it's recently reformulated. Oh, and it works nicely, too. That is what is important. Nice subtle tan to my legs- nice.

It's a great color, but you have to maintain it so the color doesn't fade. Once you have the color, you need to maintain it every other day or two. I actually like the smell. I wish the smell came in a lotion. One more thing, it doesn't look nice on your feet.

The smell isn't great, but I didn't find it offensive. However, you may want to lighten up or omit perfume so you don't have clashes with your scents. As far as the application and color go - it's great! I have medium skin with olive tones. Since you just put the lotion on and it changes subtly each day, you don't end up with the streaking that can occur with stronger products. Each day you're adding a little more color, so the chances of it evening out over time are good. I didn't glop the product on, but used enough that it absorbed into my skin and was thorough about rubbing it on. The color looks very natural. In fact, the person that does my pedicures asked me if I'd been out in the sun. She was surpised when I told her it was fake! After I get the color I want, I only use the lotion every 3 days or so. That may keep it from turning yellow or orange.

i think to be too hard on this stuff is a shame. Every single sunless tanner that I've used (and i've used LOTS) smells funny--like body odor. Not sure it's that bad. Even really expensive Mystic Tan or Airbrushed Fantasy Tans smell like the DHA thats in them. Anyways, I would recommend this product! I tried it after another girl who looked really tan recommended I try it. I wouldn't use the body one on the face, however (some brands you can, this one definitely not). It will clog up pores like nothing else! But the subtlety and natural color are very nice.
