I've never used a self tanning cream, but the fact that this is a moisturizer as well made it more tempting to try. I have had very good luck with this lotion, and exfoliating is a must to prevent the blotchy spots, as the dead skin will take the color differently than new skin. I like the smell, although the face version smells really good. Also, this is a great moisturizer; my skin has never felt so silky smooth without any greasy residue at all. Since I've been really sick with fibromyalgia for the past 3 1/2 years, I just can't tolerate the sun and heat. Now I have this to get rid of the sun starved yellow-tinged (I'm a medium skin tone) skin color!

I bought this as a self tan extender. I had read the many good reviews and believed it would be a good choice. I wish I had paid more attention to the people who complained about the bad smell. I can tolerate the smell of self tanner, it's not SO bad. The problem with this product is they used a fragrance to try to hide the self tanner and it's awful! It would be OK if it were not SO strong but it overpowering. I put a little on before I went to be and smelled it all night. I am throwing this in the trash.

Definitely works! I've been using this product for a week now and have a great tan without any orange tint. It does smell like a typical self-tanner, but I happen to like the smell. It also does a great job with moisturizing my skin as well. After the product dries, it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. I haven't had any problems with my knees or elbows. My tan looks pretty even and best of all - natural.

THE SMELL, GOOD GOD, THE SMELL!!! I can not believe that this "moisturizer" smells WORSE than any "self-tanner" on the market. It is UNBEARABLE. It gave me a brutal headache!! I threw it away after 2 applications. How can anyone use this? Now I am using L'Oreal Sunless Sublime Glow and Dove Energy Glow- alternating between the two products. They are really fabulous- subtle and pleasant smelling- seriously (and I have a sensitive nose) and they work GREAT. They moisturize without feeling heavy or sticky. My legs, arms, and chest look very realistically tan; and as a Los Angeles native, I can spot a "Mystic-Tan" at 50 feet.

I am quite happy with this product. I saw results with one application, as my legs went from day-glo white to subtly golden. Just enough to get ready for shorts season. I was concerned about the odor, as I have been bothered by the odor of other self-tanners (such as Neutrogena's). The odor here is not as strong.

After I read the reviews I decided to give it a try. I was turned off by the horrible smell. I ended up tossing it away!!! The color was ok. I really recommend Dove Energy Glow, it smells way better!!!

This makes your skin gorgeous if you use it everyday. But, it's just a diluted self-tanner. It still turns your hands orange if you aren't VERY careful and it still smells like self-tanner.

I just starting using this Jergens Medium Skin Tones last week. I had bought it last summer but was afraid to try, as I see people at the gym with self tanners on who look orange.....but I wanted a little color on my stomach. It was beautiful, and now I use it all over except my face which I just use Bare minerals warmth on to blend everything together..The smell is awful, and I would prefer it had Jergens other scent (except original cherry, which I have always disliked). I will use it all the time. I put on before bed, and shower in the morning. There is no smell by morning.
