I have been coloring my hair red for 2 years, and I have tried numerous shampoos for colored treated hair. This is the only one that I have used that keeps my color vibrant for 6 weeks and if I didn't have hair that grows like a weed, I would not have any doubt that my color would last another 2 weeks because of this shampoo.

I thought shampoos are just shampoos so I usually buy whatever is on sale. After two weeks use, I noticed that my head started getting painful pimply bumps. I have had this experience before (with finesse shampoo) so I immediately stopped using. It has been almost a month and the bumps have mostly healed with no sign of new bumps.

Had my hair dyed a very beautiful dark copper red and the stylist suggested I use a "red" shampoo to keep the color. Looked everywhere in my town and couldn't find a product, but found it here. It is very gentle on my hair, (shampoo every other day) and the color stays longer.

This is the ONLY shampoo that maintains the red color in my hair. I've tried every professional product on the market and keep coming back. The others allow red to leach out of my hair shafts way too quickly and dull the color. Whereas this maintains the intensity of the red and keeps it looking shiny for weeks longer.

It seems that the makers of John Frieda are the only ones who realize that there are still REDHEADS out there. This is the only commercially available product that I have found specifically formulated for red hair.
I wash my hair almost daily, and I am sure that my color would fade way faster without this shampoo and conditioner. Thank you John Frieda for making this, and Drugstore.com for carrying it!
