One day, a ragged girl approached as Spring Blossom poured hot water carefully over the tea leaves. "I would like some tea," the ragged girl said, "for I am thirsty and alone." Spring Blossom's soft heart was touched and she gave her the tea she had just brewed. When the girl had drunk her fill, she cast off her garments and revealed herself as a wood sprite. "Because of your kindness and your wonderful tea, I give you my magical mint leaves," the wood sprite said. "Brew this with your tea and happiness will surround you." The next day when Spring Blossom poured hot water over her tea leaves blended with peppermint and spearmint, a refreshing fragrance reached every corner of Kyoto, spreading happiness throughout the land. Easy Yoga for Improved Digestion
Sit on your heels and interlock your fingers behind your head, palms on your neck. Inhale deeply, then exhale and slowly bring your forehead to the floor. Try to keep your spine straight. Then inhale again as you slowly come up. Continue the motion for 1-3 minutes, breathing powerfully through the nose. Then sit up straight, take a few deep breaths and relax. The practice of this exercise not only aids digestion but also increases the flexibility of the spine.
