I am diabetic. I started taking this due to it's low carbs and potential weight loss benefits. I take this in milk with a tablespoon of peanut butter. It's wonderful. I have lost 15 lbs in the last 3 weeks taking this for breakfast and occasionally as a snack (in addition to other dietary changes). My blood sugar is minimally effected by this, and it fills me up for at least 3 to 4 hours. I will be ordering this again, it is the best tasting protein drink I have ever taken.

This prouduct is great! I noticed I wasnt as sore after a work out. The taste isnt great. I had to choke it down the first time. Just plug your nose as you drink it thats what I do.

This is the best whey product out there barnone. This used to cost $40 or less. Great value but Drugstore.com is now selling it for [$]??!!! That is whey too much! I prefer the old version which is the one pictured here but i'm sure you'll get the new and improved one. You can buy this somewhere else cheaper even with their GoldCard.

I am a lapband patient so I use many liquid protein sources. This gold standard is by far the best flavored one I have tried in 2 years. It mixes easily and is very satisfying. I am rarely hungry after taking it with skim milk. There are many ways to enhance this drink. I have on occassion added instant coffee or choc. Hersheys for a special kick. Wait for a sale to try this as it is very expensive at [$]

The best thing I can say is it mixes and cleans up easily. The trade off is consistency like water even if mixed with skim milk, and bland taste, so much so its tough to finish drinking. Worse, I haven't noticed good results with it, and it doesn't help reduce hunger. A competing product has been better for me in every one of those ways except ease of mixing and clean up, but a blender bottle helped that. This is not a product I'd buy again.

Mixes with a spoon, goes down smooth, tastes good considering it's so low in sugar and fat, digests easily (no gas), and it doesn't contain anything you don't need. I take it 3 times daily: once mid-morning, once after my afternoon core exercise, and once after my 1.5 mile swim. I've seen strong improvements in muscle quantity and tone, and an improvement in the health of my fingernails and cuticles. I had problems after drastically cutting calories to get rid of excess weight: the body likes to burn amino acids before its fat stores because they're easier to convert to glucose. The protein also helps with the gnawing hunger from the dieting. My only complaint is that this stuff is so expensive for what amounts to a waste product from cheese manufacturing. But it is cheaper than most meats.

There is no substitute for the best, this is it. If you are diciplined enough to eat the correct foods, maintain a workout program and use whey protein you will see and feel results in a short time. I have blood sugar problems, and started a weight training and exercise program supplimenting my diet using "ON" whey, it has lowest sugar content available. I grew muscle, became stronger and almost never have sugar lows. My body changed shape and my mid section shrunk. Take this product in small increments throughout the day, about 1 to 1.5 grams per pound of your body weight. Take more before a heavy workout. There are 24 grams of protein in a scoop. It is the best whey protein product for me. I mix it well with water and sometimes "unsweet" tea (aquired taste). I avoid sugar and fat as much as possible. I have used appox 8 6lb cans of vanilla flavor so far. Thank you, Optimum Nutrition.
