Pros: Easy To Take, Gentle, Nice Smell, Not Messy

Bottom Line: not recommended

I bought this for my young toddler and it worked ok last summer but this summer it's not up to par. Perhaps it's effectiveness fades with time or perhaps we didn't stay outside as much as we do now. I practically bathed my son is this and he was still eaten alive....8-10 bites. Really disappointing and sad when you think you have them protected and they are not!

My children have sensitive skin, so some things work and some things don't. I loved the idea of this, but unfortunately they broke out in a horrible rash. The smell is nice and light if your child's skin can take it.

This is the best we have used by far! We live in Maine and the black flies and mosquitos are terrible! This product is not greasy and it is not hard to wash off. Just use a regular soap, not a fancy facial soap. Also used it on the grandkids and no fear of using it on the babies! It's just wonderful!

I recently purchased the spray and lotion versions. They both worked very well....no bites so far since my family has been using the product. It smells wonderful, and I am not afraid about putting it on my young children. The spray works out much better and is easy to apply. The lotion ends up all over everything and is hard to get the smell off your hands (from rubbing it in).

I bought this and the lotion style of the same formula for myself to repel mosquitos in the late Spring and over the Summer when I take evening walks (I live in the South). It really works, and smells like lemongrass (citronella). The spray is best, as opposed to the lotion if you're using it on children - easier to apply.
