My daughter's hair is very fine and gets horribly tangled. This product is slightly better than other detanglers I've used, but isn't as effective as I'd hoped.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I HAVE 2 DAUGHTERS THAT HAVE VERY CURLY AND THICK HAIR AND I'M AT A LOSS WHEN I DON'T HAVE IT. I'VE TRIED OTHER PRODUCTS TO CUT COST BE THEY NEVER HOLD UP.

I can't really ensure everyone else that this'll work on their hair, but it certainly worked on mine. I have very, very thick and LONG hair, so when it tangles, it's enough to make the tamest person want to rip their hair right out! This definitely works. It kind of softens up the knots and allows the brush more freedom to through your strands. It hurts less to brush, after using this spray, too. Definitely recommended. The only bad thing about it is that I immediately feel I have to wash my hair after using it. Not too much of a hassle.

This REALLY works! I'm nearly 50 (!) and most of my life, I've had LONG "Cher Hair". My "mane" has always been thick. In high school it took me 30 minutes to wash, and over an hour to dry it. When I lost all of my mop to Chemo, I was afraid of no more hair. Well, it came in TWICE as thick! My Hubby enjoys washing my hair, drying it, and using this. If it it's going through MY hair, it should go through just about everyone's hair!

Do not like this product at all! I've used an Avon detangler that I really liked, but they no longer make it, and now California Baby detangler (which is hard to find around here) is my favorite. Smells wonderful, does the job, with no chemicals. Johnson's doesn't hold a candle to either of the others. After not being able to try the other 2, I got it for my 2 1/2 year old daughter whose hair is long, fine, and very curly. It leaves her with tons of knots that I have to rip through. The others allowed me to comb through it easily. Also, I think it smells terrible, even though it's not supposed to have a smell. It's a subtle smell, but it's very unpalletable to me. Only thing this product might offer is that it weighs her light hair down so much that after a few days between washings it's very straight which makes it easier to brush, but then she looses all her beautiful curls. Very dissatisfied with this product!

This detangler is terribly waxy - the opposite of what's needed to actually detangle hair, especially if it's not baby-fine hair. We've tried this 'classic' bottle as well as a red bottle that says 'Strawberry Sensation' with the same results. Even just a little leaves enough of a waxy coating to make combing or brushing more difficult, leave hair feeling and looking dirty and dull, and usually necessitate rinsing. For baby-fine hair, it might give the illusion of working as a detangler, because any moisture (even water) will do the job, and its waxiness will act as a styling agent. After several attempted uses, we've thrown it out. For a true detangler, I'm still looking for a replacement for the now-discontinued Herbal Essences Citrus Lift 'Let Loose' Detangling Spray. [A good on-wet product is FX/SpecialEffects 'Instant Straighten Out'. It's a straightening and smothing gel that also works as a great detangler for even thick, angry hair.]

This stuff rocks!!! Good for the whole family!!!

My daughter (almost 2) freaked out a bit when I sprayed her with this, but it really helped get "control" of her bed head without having to wash it or wet it! Her hair is gorgeous anyway, but this is a great "extra" to get the knots & bed head out of there! Awesome product. I don't know how it'd work on an adult, because I use my own leave in conditioner (Ego Boost ROCKS!) But for my baby girl, it's great.

This product is great for adults and children. If I do not sleep with my hair in a braid, I get big knots on the back of my head...this product gets them out with out any yanking, pulling, or pain!
