This stuff is absolutely the highest quality for getting sand and gunk out of your hair after a day at the beach! :) It conditions your hair and makes it literally squeeky clean! I don't even need to use the conditioner.

You only need to use a small amount to do a great job.

Although it is expensive, Neutrogena does not leave any scalp build up or residue which can sometimes be mistaken for dandruff. I have tried them all. This one is the clean hair champ. If you try it you will like it.

Great product! My hair looks clean and healthy after using the shampoo, and doesn't seem to be dry even though I did not use any conditioner. As for the smell: yes, it is strong, but I don't mind it at all, it's not aggressive or medical at all, more of a strong, actually fresh soapy smell.

This is a good shampoo for how it's marketed, as an occasional use buildup remover. I had to use it several days in a row once and it dried out my hair like straw, even when followed with conditioner. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned the sharp, very strong scent of this shampoo. I thought Neutrogena used to make a fragrance free version of this? I like Neutrogena products but hate their weird trademark scent.

Takes the buildup out and leaves hair fairly manageable, but if you are sensitive to smells like I am, than this will do a bit on you. Has a chemical order not a fresh shampoo smell. Just a warning for all you delicate people out there.

Absolutely a Godsend! I have been recently battling with trying to keep my scalp clean and free of product residue, and this shampoo really works. I usually do two rounds of washing- I use it in conjunction with Neutrogena T-Sal Shampoo which helps clean up scalp build-up and I'm extremely happy with both products. Leaves your scalp squeaky clean and free to breath and produce its own oils.

I love this stuff and am never without it. It's gentle, smells so good and leaves my hair fresh and clean.

I use the largest bottle I can get. This product IS EXCELLENT in removing all my harsh TIGI Hair styling gunk and sprays. Its excellent! My hair really feels clean thereafter. I highly recommend this product!!! This is the only product I use for hair spray removal, and overuse of shampoos and conditioners to leave-in's.

I bought this after having a big salon hair-do with tons of mousse, hairspray, and other stuff in my hair. After two applications with my normal shampoo, my hair was still not clean. So I went out and purchased a bottle of this, and one application completely cleaned my hair without making it dry at all. I've tried other so-called "clarifying" shampoos before, but this is by far the best. However, I have to take off one star for the smell--it has that very strong Neutrogena smell and it lingers in your hair for days afterwards. So I can't use this as a weekly clarifying shampoo, but I will definitely keep a bottle on hand for the day after any time I get my hair professionally styled.
