This stuff is fabulous. Very gentle, does not strip, but effectively removes residue. I have fine, wavy, color treated (highlights and lowlights) hair. This makes it silky and shiny, does not wash out my color. I use it about once a week because my regular shampoo and conditioner are heavy on the moisture. I think is really the best residue remover out there.

Ever since I was a teen, I have been using heavy hair gel and wax to keep my hairstyle to hold in place. Regular shampoos do not wash away the build-up as good as this one does. It cleans the heavy hair wax even at the first wash. With other shampoo, I shampoo my hair twice to get rid of the hair wax completely. I used it almost everyday. I will say that it is medium-to-strong fragranced, but leaves a pleasant scent afterward. Its very unique and it does not make me smell like candies or fruits like other shampoos. The only bad thing I could say about it is that it could make my hair dry during winter time. Otherwise, it is a great product.

I bought this product based off of the positive reviews here and was disappointed. While the shampoo does a mediocre job of removing residue (something any other shampoo does) it smelled awful, left my hair dry, and didn't lather well at all. I like most of Neutrogena's products but I don't see the appeal to this one at all, plus it's expensive.

I use this a few times a week to remove build-up from using hair products, and this shampoo works really well. I've used a few other anti-residue shampoos from other brands, but this is my favorite. It's not as drying, and smells nice.

This shampoo is very light, and there are no harmful chamicals at all. With this shampoo my hair has become so soft, and the smell is very good too. Thanks, Neutrogena.

This shampoo is great. My hair is pretty long and very thick. Whether I use product in it or not, this shampoo gets my hair the cleanest without destroying the texture. I just wish they'd make it in bigger bottles! I use it about 2-3 times a week.

I use this shampoo pretty much every day. I have used it for years. I have tried many other shampoos, and this is the best. My hair feels cleaner and looks better with Neutrogena shampoo. And, you don't need to use a conditioner (at least for a man).

Makes my hair sooo smooth and shiny. I only use it once a week, but I think it's gentle enough to use it every two days or more frequently. Although I think the smell is "manly, my boyfriend thinks it smells divine. I use a little bit of conditioner after rinsing it out, so the smell is quickly masked.

Awesome shampoo...does exactly what it should! You can feel the difference with one use. It does have a strange medical smell to me (even maybe a little manly), but I still gave it 5 stars because IT WORKS!!! The smell is gone with the next shampoo.

I love this shampoo, it's a staple in my beauty regimen. I have colored hair (red at that) and I don't find it fading much, even though I've been told clarifying shampoos do that to colored hair. All in all, it's excellent at clearing out "gunk" and styling build-up, as hair reacts better to hair products after using this shampoo, I know mine does. If this shampoo was made into a scent I would, without a doubt!, buy it! I love the way this smells!
