I had what I believe was sebhoreic dermatitis, though I never saw a dermatologist so I'm not sure. I had painful, inflamed hair folicles and a waxy substance that would accumulate in the painful spots. T/Sal improved the condition after the first use. The condition cleared up almost completely within a couple of weeks. Recently I spent a few weeks traveling and forget to bring the T/Sal along. The painfully inflamed spots returned quickly. I was so glad to get home and use this shampoo again. Great product! Would definitely reccommend.

I have had problems with my scalp for a long time, so I was really pleased when I found out about T-Gel. It keeps my scalp feeling clean and definitely reduces the dandruff outbreaks. I'm able to wear black shirts again without worrying about wiping the dandruff off of it. Definitely a big confidence booster.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I had a dermatologist look at my scalp almost 2 years ago and write me a prescription for a medicated shampoo and a medicated conditioner. They were both expensive. And I found this in the store one day..tried it out..my scalp looked amazing. Normally, even with the medicated products, after I shampoo my hair my scalp starts flaking up with dandruff again. This time my scalp was so smooth and flake free. I recommend this product to anyone with dandruff..mild or severe that needed medication like me.

I've been coloring my hair for many many years, and have had to cope with a dry, itchy, and flaky scalp that sometimes got so irritated it bled in little patches, because my scalp was so itchy I picked it until it bled. I was actually losing a significant amount of hair volume because I picked my scalp until the hair broke off, and I wore hats all the time to cover up my broken hair and scabby scalp. Was truly awful! Since finding this product about a year ago, my scalp has significantly healed. The itching is greatly lessened, I no longer pick my scalp, and my hair is actually starting to look nice again. I apply twice. The first application doesn't really lather so I work it into my scalp with little water. I leave that on for 5 minutes, then rinse and apply again. The second application lathers up beautifully. I leave that for a few minutes, then rinse and condition with Neutrogena conditioner. I only wash my hair once a week, but I am sure if I were to use the product as recommended, my scalp would be 100% healed. As is, it is much, much better even with infrequent washing. I also love the fact that my expensive blond highlights don't turn brassy or orange with this shampoo and the odor is fairly neutral. If you suffer from a dry, flaky, itchy scalp due to coloring your hair, try this product. For me it is no less than a "Hair Saver" and I will always use it.

I use this on my face, arms and back for acne because it has the same ingridients as acne cleanser without the added fragrance or color.

Out of no where last month I began having a problem with my scalp. In one spot, about the size of a quarter, on my head I was getting crusting yellowish white stuff that would peel off and I was absolutely positive it was not dandruff. This quarter sized spot soon spread to cover all of the left side of my scalp. I tried multiple shampoos and conditioner and even went without moose or hair spray for a few weeks because I was convinced that was the problem. I was about to go to a dermatologist when I decided to do a bit of googling and a few people suggest to try Neutrogena T Sal Therapeutic Shampoo. It was my last attempt before I made an appointment! I went out and bought it today and used it exactly as directed and OMG results in the first wash! I still cannot believe my eyes because the results are too unbelievable! Of course the problem is not completely gone, will take a couple more washes but I am convinced this is the best thing that ever happened to my scalp and possibly saved me from spending a lot of money at a doctor's visit!

As long as you use it, all the dandruff and other scalp impurities disappear, but you have to use it regularly. Otherwise, after some time, the problems start again. Another thing is that the bottle is too small for the price, and you have to use a generous amount to lather. The smell is awful by the way..

I ordered this product because I was coming to my wits end because of my flaky hair. Nothing was working. I lathered up and let it sit for about 3 minutes then I rinsed with warm water. I inspected my scalp right away and to my suprise the flakes had dissolved! After that I lathered up with the stubborn itch formula and rinsed again. So far the itchyness is gone. The flakes are gone. My face has cleared up because the flakes were gone. I'm really happy I ordered this!

I've used their TGel before as well, which stinks really bad due to the tar, but works better. I use this shampoo during the week when I don't want something that smells so horrible. I follow up with a nice smelling conditioner, although it may not be necessary depending on your hair type (mine tends to be dry). This really helped with my dandruff, which gets bad when I wear my hair down (which is every day). Start with this and add in the TGel for tougher dandruff.

It's the only 1 of 2 products that works and completely eleminates my husbands dandruff on both head and beard.
