I have "seasonal dandruff" I have always used coal-tar (in t-gel) and it has always helped. I use the t-gel conditioner for a smooth finish.

This works great to stop itching and flaking. I only use it 2-3 times a week because it seems a bit harsh for more than that on my highlighted hair but when things are acting up and I have an itchy scalp it starts to work after that first shampoo. I just wish it smelled better.

Psoriasis runs in my family, and I've been pretty lucky and never had any symptoms until now. I've always had a slight dandruff problem, but nothing that head and shoulders couldn't fix. A few months ago, I started to get the red spots on my scalp and some serious dandruff that H&S couldn't fix. It was awful, itchy, and there were flakes everywhere (I mean, EVERYWHERE). My mom had used T-Gel in the past and loved it, so I gave it a shot. I wash my hair every other day and stuck to that schedule with the T-Gel, and after two weeks, all the problems have completely cleared up! No more dandruff, and the red, itchy patches are 90 percent gone. I was so happy, and plan to continue using the product twice a week for maintenance. The only downside is that it really does stink, but I've noticed that after your hair dries, it's barely noticeable. I also thought it would really dry up my hair, but I've been applying a leave-in conditioner after, and my hair texture hasn't changed at all. HIGHLY recommended product!

I've had psoriasis on my scalp for four years and used every product on the market for itchy, flakey scalp and this is the second best product I've used. The smell is bitter but not over powering and it mostly goes away once your hair is dry. It improved the itching a little bit but didn't do much for the flaking. The best product I've used is Denorex 2 in1 Shampoo/Conditioner. It takes care of both the itching and the flaking.

After MONTHS of trying over-the-counter dandruff shampoos, this shampoo finally helped my husband get rid of his dandruff. And he had very bad dandruff. His dermatologist recommended it. It took about 2 weeks until all the dandruff was gone (the first week he was instructed to use it every day, the second week 3 times a week). Both my husband and I are finally happy to have found a shampoo that actually works against dandruff! No more embarrassing "white snow" on his T-shirts and sweaters! Now he uses it according to the instructions on the bottle (2 times a week) and his dandruff still hasn't come back.
