Cons: Runs Easily

Best Uses: Daily Use

Expensive, but worth it b/c it is immediately effective. It takes a lot of rubbing for the ghostly white appearance to diminish. I have also noticed that it runs when my daughter sweats or is swimming.

This sunscreen is THE BEST, all the great things about California Baby, but with zinc (10%) and titanium dioxide (5%), which from what I understand means it works from the minute you apply, not in 30 minutes time like most other sunscreens. This Baby version has more of those ingredients than the regular Blue Lizard, but is the same price. You also get far more for your money with this product - this bottle is quite large. (I was all set to lay out the money for the smaller tube of Cal Baby, but I'm so glad I checked the ingredients and compared - Blue Lizard is much better value and works right away) We live at high altitude with hot weather and glaring sun so it's reassuring to know our fair skinned 2 year old is fully protected and does not tan / burn EVER with this on. This has been particularly good since she recently fell and took skin off her cheek and got a nasty deep cut on her nose. The ENT skin specialist warned this would scar if any sun got to it this year, but so far this cream has prevented any problems. We don't find it too greasy, I like that I can see where I've already applied it and it soon fades into the skin. I Highly Recommend this sunscreen!!

I usually wouldn't pay this much for sunscreen but it's absolutely worth it. Saving my skin from the sun like this product does is worth every penny.

I usually wouldn't spend this much on sunscreen, but we've got a little one with super sensitive skin. I started reading about all the cons of chemical sunscreens, and my dermatologist recommended the Blue Lizard brand. I've been using it for a couple of weeks. I LOVE this sunscreen! It takes a little rubbing to get it rubbed in, but very worth the effort and price. It works well on both adults and children. I applied it to my 4-year-old before swimming lessons one morning and after being in the water all day (from about 10 am-5 pm) water was still beading up on this sunscreen.... and NO sunburn whatsoever! I will definitely be buying this again!

My 2 year-old son has had eczema since he was a baby. This is the only sunscreen we have found that does not irritate his skin. It provides excellent protection from the sun. It takes a little while to rub it in, but it is well worth it!!! This is the only sunscreen that I will put on my children's skin.

It goes on thick - but I love the UV bottle that changes color. It reminds you that you do need to have sunblock on.

Pros: Effective Protection, Non-comedogenic, Only trace chemicals, UVA/UVB Protection
Cons: Greasy or Heavy
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: Daily Use

This is great for every day use at the park or on the playground, as it is not waterproof. I bought the Regular SPF30+ Blue Lizard for beach and sprinkler days as it is very waterproof. It feels slightly greasier going on than a chemical sunscreen, but sinks in well and actually moisturizes the skin. I did loads of research on the best brands for my baby, and this one came up time and again. Although pricier than a chemical sunscreen, it is much cheaper than comparable natural, mineral sunblocks. Keep your eyes peeled for sales and coupons to take the edge off. Drugstore.com has the best prices I found, and the best selection. I'm far from rich and laid off to boot, but the few extra bucks are worth the peace of mind that comes with knowing what ISN'T going into my son's growing body. The EWG hazard rating is only a 2, (which is a green light recommended product) and it has a lower toxin level than 93% of SPF 30+ sunscreens available on the market. Most sunscreens/sunblocks are very significantly higher. The only sunscreen I'm still in search of is something for my son's scalp, as my 19 month old is still nearly bald but I can't exactly comb lotion through his hair every day! Too bad he only views hats as projectile objects...

I think this is easily the best sunblock I have ever used. I read some reviews that said it was lengthy to rub in or that it turned skin opaque in color, I did not have either problem. I will be a loyal Blue Lizard user from here on.
