Sea Breeze Clear-Pore Astringent, Actives rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 18 customer reviews.I use this product for my scalp.
by Windy[Verified Buyer] in Leesburg, FL on 10/15/09
Pros: Balances Skin, Gentle, Leaves Clean Feel, Smells Great
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Bottom Line: recommended
I use Seabreeze on my scalp every other time when I wash my hair. I have always had problems with dandruff and I would hate to wear anything black because of the white flakes it would leave on my clothing. Since I began using Seabreeze, I no longer have to be concerned about white flakes on my tops, plus the fact, that my head no longer itches in between shampoos.
Sea Breeze Clear-Pore Astringent, Actives rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 18 customer reviews.a little bit drying
by runnergirl[Verified Buyer] in houston texas on 4/4/09
Pros: Deep Cleans, Improves Skin Texture, Leaves Clean Feel, Removes Make Up
Cons: Dries Out Skin, Irritates Skin
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: Daily Use, Occasional Use, Oily Skin
Bottom Line: recommended
I use a light retinoid cream so this may not help. It can be too drying. But this is great for use a few times a week. I can see it would be excellent for oily skin. It exfoliates and cleans well. I used sea breeze as a teenager and loved it. This is good for after shaving to avoid ingrown hairs. I use an epilator for my legs and face and immediately after I cleanse with this. If I do not use this after I epilate on my face.....I will break out from a skin allergy. Bottom line.....great antiseptic and exfoliator...but only for occasional use with sensitive skin. But I ike this product.

I have been using Seabreeze for many years and I just decided to try this one. I love it. It is not as harsh on your skin like the original Seabreeze and it smells really good.

Use daily to remove make up. Notice it dries very quickly on cotton ball so need to use more. Leaves skin feeling smooth but not overly dry. Very nice product.

by Cool Breeze[Verified Buyer] in Bridgeport, CT on 1/6/09
Pros: Balances Skin, Deep Cleans, Gentle, Improves Skin Texture, Leaves Clean Feel, Super Scent
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Best Uses: All Skin Types, Daily Use, Sensitive Skin

Skin Cleanser with a nice, gentle scent. Used daily, the Sea Breeze Clear-Pore Astringent Actives leaves the skin feeling clean and refreshed. I use other skin cleaners and astringents; however, this is my favorite.
Sea Breeze Clear-Pore Astringent, Actives rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 18 customer reviews. It helps older skin
by The Politician[Verified Buyer] in St. Louis MO on 11/14/08
Pros: Balances Skin, Clarifies Skin, Improves Skin Texture
Cons: Irritates Skin
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Bottom Line: recommended
Even though I'm over 50, my skin still gets bumps and flakes. This product exfoliates and smooths my skin. It gets rid of the redness and bumps. I even use it on my scalp because it helps with itching on my scalp. If I use it too often, or if my skin is already irritated it stings a little sometimes. I'm not wild about the scent.
Sea Breeze Clear-Pore Astringent, Actives rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 18 customer reviews.Great for Chest, Back, Scalp!
by Tia[Verified Buyer] in Tampa, FL on 11/1/08
Pros: Clarifies Skin
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Best Uses: Acne-Prone Skin, DandruffOily Scalp
Bottom Line: recommended
This is much more effective than Clean & Clear on the scalp and even to keep ingrown leg hair (from waxing) under control. It's also far more economical to use on the chest and back (for acne) than any Salicylic Acid in a tube. For the scalp, Sea Breeze has always been famous, but this Salicylic Acid formula is tops! I don't use dandruff shampoo anymore and instead use only this (in a hair color applicator bottle) once a day to control it. So glad Drugstore.com has it, because I can't find it in the store!
Sea Breeze Clear-Pore Astringent, Actives rates 1 out of 5 stars, from 18 customer reviews. What a disappointment
by Betsy[Verified Reviewer] in Baltimore, Maryland on 9/4/08
Pros: NONE
Cons: Bad Smell, Residue
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
Best Uses: NONE
Bottom Line: not recommended
This product has a terrible smell of camphor and leaves a sticky residue that makes it impossible to believe the skin is clean. It is a very poor substitute for the Original Formula. How foolish of them to discontinue such a wonderful product.
Sea Breeze Clear-Pore Astringent, Actives rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 18 customer reviews.Good for fighting acne
by ARC[Verified Reviewer] in NJ on 7/12/08
Pros: Clears up ACNE
Cons: Stings a bit, Strong Odor
Describe Yourself: Value Oriented
Best Uses: Acne Prone Skin, oily skin
Bottom Line: recommended
I wouldn't recommend this for ordinary use, but if you have oily skin and are having problems with acne it might be a godsend. The purple Sea Breeze is the strongest formula they offer for fighting acne and is comparable to Noxema's Triple Clean Pads--both have the same concentration of Salicylic Acid and a few shared ingredients like eucalyptus and camphor. It doesn't smell any better than the Noxema product, just different (the camphor is less noticeable). While it stings and smells whiffy it has noticeably cleared up my acne with regular use. I develop a rash when I use anything with Benzoyl Peroxide (allergy?), and Dickinson's Witch Hazel made my skin peel and break out even worse, but this does the job well *and* costs less than other toners I've seen with 2% Salicylic Acid. 5 stars for effectiveness and value, -1 for the smell and stinging.
