At first it seems like this brush is too small and rough but it works! Applies beautifully when you use the edge of the brush held at an angle, not the flat end and lightly sweep the compact. Use downward strokes only.
You will soon get the knack of grabbing the right amount , lay down a nice smooth coverage and won't waste a cloud of excess from tapping off.
If you use a powder brush have a light touch to avoid kickup but that's because it is finely milled. I carry it everywhere and it hasn't shattered.
I bought this powder on the advice of YouTube guru Tati, who advised that although it isn't called foundation, it "Covers everything". She was right. I use it over a bit of concealer and bb cream or e.l.f. poreless primer and my skin looks quite even and smooth.
I have always had very oily sensitive acne prone skin and now fine lines appear as well. This doesn't settle into lines. Never looks cakey. Does not itch or irritate like most products do to me. Does not cause breakouts ever. It mattifies without drying. I use less foundation as it blurs the appearance of pores.
I am buying backups to keep in a supply just in case this ever is discontinued.
I doubt that I will ever find a replacement if it ever does as it's taken so many years to find.

I agree the brush that comes with product is better used to clean my computer keyboard! I use a flat face brush and it works well. A swirl around and a a few taps to remove the extra and on to my face. It do use their primer corrector some times alone or under this with a little blush. At age 61 I am ready for simple, easy and light.

This covers very well. It is a bit pricey and it doesn't seem to control shine very well.

The product I received was in a box that seemed already damaged (wouldn't close properly, so the powder runs out of box making it impossible to carry in a purse). Also, I did not expect the powder to be so thin. The brush enclosed with the powder proved to be completely useless, however, even when using my own large brush the powder is very messy. Is it possible that the product went wrong during the shippment? Very disappointed.

Service and delivery comments:

The product arrived in a damaged box, even though the paper box outside was intact. The box does not close properly-- so much of the powder came out in shippment. Neither I can carry it in my purse (messy).

I was excited about the idea of an SPF product, and I've happily used other products from this brand before. But this formulation made my skin brake-out quickly and persistently. Would not recommend to the acne-prone.

I just bought this powder the other day because I like the whole idea of mineral powder but I've never actually had the chance to try one.. I forget what color I bought it in but it was for lighter skin tones & the color totally matches my skin tone and hasn't made me break out or anything and it also makes my skin sooo soft, it's wonderful.. but if it does make me break out in the future at all, I'll be sure to post another review saying so. it doesn't show up real powder-y or anything like that at all, though.. just nice & silky is the finish, which is sooo nice, too. the only complaint I have about this is that A) the brush is cheap and feels kinda rough on the skin when applying and B) when you do apply the powder with the brush, a lot comes off at once, like more than you mean to put on the brush so that kinda sucks cause you might end up wasting some powder but in the long run, I still think it's a great product cause I just blow on the brush to get the excess off and it applies wonderfully & I'm sure if you used a powder puff or a sponge instead, that probably wouldn't happen. also, it doesn't seem to really cover up blemishes or red spots too too well but it is only powder & I don't have an issue with that, so it's no biggie. I'd still highly recommend this, though.. it's definitely at least worth trying

I really love what this product does to my skin. I have tried a couple of big brands (Clinque, Biotherm, Revlon, Bobbi Brown, etc) and they all made my skin breakout. It could have been that i was younger and more prone to zits, but since i switched to Neutrogena, the problem went away. The powder goes on easily, the makeup is natural looking and covers uneven skin tone and minimial concealer necessary. Gone are the days of standing in front of mirror with heavy liquid foundation and concealer, this product actually improved my skin!

The only con with the powder is that it does not help my oily skin in the humid weather so I touch up 2 to 3x a day.

However the package is not well thought through - the powder does fly all over my top when I am in a hurry, the mirror is right above where the brush goes so it's impossible to use the mirror because the powder is all over it. The plastic packaging looks cheap and i've cracked one before -- BUT i will still use the product because it works for me.
