BioBag Tall Kitchen Bio Bags, 13 Gallon rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 43 customer reviews.good product
by Mary[Verified Buyer] in Boulder, CO on 11/18/09
Pros: Easy to Use, Good for the enviroment
Cons: Tear easy when wet
Describe Yourself: Casual Cleaner
Best Uses: Home, Use it for compostables, Use it for shredding
Bottom Line: recommended
We are required to use them for our compostable trash pick up. They work good just make sure that you don't pick up the bag when there is wet contents in there. Bag deteriorates rapidly when wet. Great for canning, food processing and holidays. Tears easily when you are trying to rip the bags apart from the box. You just have to be careful and gently separate them
BioBag Tall Kitchen Bio Bags, 13 Gallon rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 43 customer reviews. Finally an eco-friendly alternative!
by Jenny[Verified Buyer] in Atlanta, GA on 10/30/09
Pros: Easy to Use
Describe Yourself: Meticulous Cleaner
Best Uses: Home
Bottom Line: recommended
Finally an eco-friendly alternative to those awful plastic kitchen bags. The trade-off is the bag is thinner and there's no drawstring or closure. Everyone should make the switch -- free yourself from those plastic bags and help the earth!!
BioBag Tall Kitchen Bio Bags, 13 Gallon rates 2 out of 5 stars, from 43 customer reviews. Not Strong Enough
by FLSweeney[Verified Reviewer] in Florida on 9/20/09
Pros: Easy to Use, Efficient
Cons: Weak Function
Describe Yourself: Meticulous Cleaner
Best Uses: Office
Bottom Line: recommended
We like to really stuff our garbage so as to minimize the # of bags used and thrown into landfills. When we came across this bag, we were thrilled! HOwever, the bag tore easily and could not handle the amount of trash we put in the bag (we normally use Force Flex). So if you're a lighter user, this may be perfect for you.
BioBag Tall Kitchen Bio Bags, 13 Gallon rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 43 customer reviews.Great for a lot of light trash
by Cass[Verified Buyer] in PA on 8/8/09
Bottom Line: recommended
These are large enough that you need to be careful about what and how much you put in them. I find that I can leave food and other wet stuff in there longer than I would expect, but definitely not longer than a few days. The material is also less resilient than regular garbage bags, so if the contents get too heavy they easily stretch or tear.
BioBag Tall Kitchen Bio Bags, 13 Gallon rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 43 customer reviews.good compost/trash bag
by Mrs. Strammy[Verified Buyer] in Atlanta, GA on 8/5/09
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Odd smell
Describe Yourself: Meticulous Cleaner
Best Uses: Home
Bottom Line: recommended
I like these BioBags - they are a great alternative to straight up plastic, but they act like a regular plastic bag would. I see very little difference, in fact. The great part is that you can compost these if you have a lot of table scraps, or you can use this in place of regular trash bags. They hold up quite well and are well constructed. They have not disintegrated on me at all.
BioBag Tall Kitchen Bio Bags, 13 Gallon rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 43 customer reviews.biobag works fine for me
by phyzziks[Verified Buyer] in Altadena, CA on 8/4/09
Pros: Easy to Use
Describe Yourself: Casual Cleaner
Bottom Line: recommended
These bags work just fine. Reading some of the comments I was afraid that it would fall apart with the least bit of moisture in the garbage. Nope. Although it's a little thinner than the (non-biodegradable) bags I used before, I've had no trouble containing the garbage, even somewhat wet, and carrying it out for pickup. It feels good to be using something that won't be polluting the landscape for hundreds of years!
BioBag Tall Kitchen Bio Bags, 13 Gallon rates 3 out of 5 stars, from 43 customer reviews.great bag but a bit too small
by GreenMama[Verified Buyer] in Maine on 8/3/09
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Small
Describe Yourself: Casual Cleaner
Bottom Line: recommended
I love that it's biodegradable and doesn't use GMO corn to produce it. But the bag says it's for a kitchen garbage can, and it just barely fits over the top of our can. We have to use paper clips to keep it from slipping down. Kind of a pain. But I don't want to fill landfills with plastic, so this is what we're sticking with until I can find something bigger.
BioBag Tall Kitchen Bio Bags, 13 Gallon rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 43 customer reviews.A truly green plastic bag
by Deb[Verified Buyer] in Stamford, CT on 7/31/09
Pros: Easy to Use
Best Uses: Home
Bottom Line: recommended
This is a very green bag. It has no odor, and will compost and degrade in the environment. The roll has been improved so that the bags separate more easily. You do have to be careful separating the bags or they can tear. They're not made to hold huge amounts of heavy, household waste. Best for food and kitchen waste.

by Carl the community activist[Verified Buyer] in Port Orchard on 7/20/09
Pros: Easy to Use

Use these in all our "tall" wastebaskets. They do break down as advertised which is preferable to plastic which takes a few thousand years.

Love these bags! I never knew a compostable bag could be so strong. I get 2-3 days out of each bag and with the volume discount, it's a bargain. I can't believe people are still using the plastic ones!
