I use this morning and night. It removes all makeup including eye makeup. It is gentle and leaves my skin soft and balanced. This cleanser works best if you apply it to a dry face and work it in then rinse well. I purchased this after noticing my other face wash was over drying and becoming too harsh. My skin seemed dehydrated and damaged from sun and over exfoliation. This seems to be working as I hoped it would. I use other avalon organic products and love them. Their vitamin c serum and vitamin c oil free moisturizer are both great too.

Use product daily, especially before bed to wash the day off my face. Always leaves my skin feeling and smelling great. I supplement this product with an eye makeup remover.

i was introduced to this product by a youtube guru... love it.... i wet my face and hands and apply one pump... rub it all over and remove with a wet wash cloth... followed by toner and moisturizer...

I have melasma very intensely from pregnancy. I have used products ranging from several dollars to $170! While I did not try this to target my melasma, I know that vitamin C is the best ingredient to brighten skin. I have used a few other products from this line and liked them. I was using Aveeno face wash but wanted to try something else. This feels fresh, smells like orange juice, and is so natural. The fact that it smells like a fresh orange is proof enough that this is chock full of vitaminC. While it may not do the best at removing makeup, that does not affect me much since I rarely wear any. However, a nice lather and proper massaging time washing your face will do the trick. As always, use makeup remover for eye makeup. I do tend to switch out products within my beloved brands, (Aveeno, Origins, Lancome) but this is a staple!
FYI~ I also use the gel formulation. Gel is best in warmer seasons when skin tends to get more oily and sweaty; while the milk is best in colder/dryer seasons bc it is inherently more hydrating.

Good produced but when used with the cleansing milk or toner it makes my face feel worm and turn red but dues not burn and my skin dues look better just have to let the redness go away.

Used daily with the Olay facial cleaning brush, my dry complexion definately looks clearer/smoother

I Love Avalon Organics but I purchased the cleansing "milk" by mistake. I use the cleansing Gel - wonderful product! The Milk irritated my skin.

Most cleansing gels just dry out my skin and most cleansing milks do not remove my make-up at nigt. I wear foundation/BB cream. However this Vitamin C cleansing milk is splendid. Two pumps removes all my make up in the shower and it does not dry out my skin in fact it makes my skin look soft. The smell is delicious. I pretty much use everything from the Avalon Lavender line but the Vitamin C cleanser is a keeper.

This product is like washing your face with old-timey cold cream. Except it is not as thick and comes in a pump bottle. If your looking for a product that lathers do not purchase this item. It works okay and cleanses my face but I will not buy again.

Used alone, this is kind of worthless, because it is not good at removing oil and dirt. If you have oily skin, forget about it -- hot water alone does a better job. I've found that it is OK when used as a face wash following a recent face wash, where you don't have too much new accumulated dirt/oil. For example, washing before bed, a few hours after taking a post-workout shower. The Avalon Refreshing Cleansing Gel, however, is 5-stars. That stuff is epic. This stuff is kind of a joke.
