Unique protective barrier for skin defends against environmental damage and free radicals and reinforces daily hydration. I have used ARCONA products for about a year. I have to say that I do not follow there skin care regimen . I think that it over exfoliates the skin. I do however use this product daily over my magic white ice. I love it. I soaks right in. It does smell a little like soy sauce, but once it soaks in you don't smell it anymore. Now I do have dry skin, but my t-zone gets oily throughout the day( I live in Nevada). This combo is great for me even during the winter.

I use this as part of the total Arcona program. It is the last thing I apply (I never wear makeup) after cleansing and then applying White Ice. I use it every morning. My skin looks great. This line emphasizes exfoliation to constantly renew the skin rather than the application of heavy moisturizers. I have used it for about 5 years now.

I use this product as part of the Arcona regimen, that is, I apply the Magic White Ice first and then put the Desert Mist on top. I find that the combination works very well to hydrate my skin in the summer (in the winter, I used a heavier moisturizer from Arcona under the Desert Mist). The smell doesn't bother me - it's not the most pleasant smell for sure, but I hardly notice it any more and it also disappears quickly. I'm not sure if this product would work well with other brands, but it definitely works well with other Arcona products.

I do not know exactly what this product really does, but it is part of the Basic 5 and I have seen a significant improvement in my skin within a short period of time. My adult onset acne cleared quickly; my pores are significantly diminished; and my skin tone is clearer. It smells awful and feels a little greasy going on, but it quickly absorbs into the skin and the greasy feeling goes away. Will continue to use it as part of the Basic 5 because of the overall results I have seen.

This product is great for my sensitive combination skin. This is the last step in my morning beauty regimen before sunscreen, and--despite its liquidy consistancy--this is a great moisturizer. It has minimized my pores, has a clean scent, and makes my skin feel soft and hydrated.

I got this in one of the kits and tried using it for about a month... The main problem I have with it is the smell (really unappealing). Don't buy this as a moisturizer, because it is NOT a moisturizer. It's just something you put on top of a moisturizer to protect your skin from the elements. It's also not an SPF, so you'll need that as an additional step as well. I didn't ever buy this product separately, because I didn't see any benefits worth the money plus it smells really gross. I prefer to have protection similar to this + moisturizer + SPF in one product (and therefore have less gunk on my face). That can be found in other organic lines...

I first tried Arcona's Desert Mist in the summer and thought it was too heavy for my combo, acne-prone skin. Then I tried it again in the fall and loved how it immediately and thoroughly moisturized my skin, without causing breakouts. I also love that it has no chemicals. I use it under Arcona's Reozone SPF 20 -- my skin has never looked better. A definite repurchase for those harsh NYC winters.

I know the smell puts you off at first. You have to use it for about a month. After that you won't notice the smell or you'll even begin to like it! Once you see the benefits to your skin, you'll dismiss the scent altogether. It truly is cummulative. I was unsure of what exactly the product literature meant by that, but I can see it now. My skin feels like it did when I was a teenager. I can even sit with my chin in my hand and not break out from trapped moisture. I have very dry skin and going on, Arcona products don't feel like they are moisturizing, but they are. I guess they are bringing the skin back into balance so you don't need so much moisturization. Whatever it is they do, they feel wonderful and look even better! I had no idea my pores had become larger until I started using Arcona and noticed how much smaller they had become after a few short weeks. It is definitely worth the price tag - especially since you use so little that it lasts so long!
