This straightener is awesome! My sister, who is a professional stylist recommended it. However, she couldn't believe the price I found it for on drugstore.com. [...]It was packaged well and works great! Totally worth the extra money for a good straightener!

I had had a professional iron before, but this seems to work much better. I live in a very humid area and the Chi works wonders for me.

i love my mom for buying this for me. although i wanted a sedu... but they didn't sell those in my stores, so yeah. i don't like how there is one heat setting but i like how my hair is "silk smooth!" however it's only ceramic coated, i'm scared it might chip off and i'm scared my chi might break really fast! so i'm taking good care of my chi. i like to curl hair with it because it's fun and easy too. it can be a lot better...... it smelled like smoke though? anyways i wish i got a sedu cuz it has tourmaline (reverses ions) which keeps in the moisture in my dang damaged hair but ok.. settling for the cheaper one, when im older i'll buy a sedu for my sis and mom LOL :)

I have very long, very thick, slightly wavy. This iron works great on my hair. It adds shine, straightens very well and stays straight. It really brings out the color of my hair. The only thing I wish it had was a heat setting. I recommend buying from a pro salon, not online. Seems as though you get better quality.

tI Think It's One Of The Best Sraightners Out There...The Only Bad Thing About It Is That It's Heats Up A Lot So Be Careful You Don't Burn Yourself..And You Obviously Need A Product That Helps Protect The Hair From All The Heat...but Other Then That It's Great....

Finally bought one of these, and this is a brandname worth the price - I have long, wavy, thick hair I never take the time to straighten, but will with this - even if I just do my bangs, it heats up quickly, produces an even heat, and works in one stroke. Produces gorgeous, shiny results and eliminates frizz - a must have!!

I have really thick curly hair, and for years I've been using flat irons I buy in a drugstore. Getting a chi is the best thing I did for my hair. Rather than taking over an hour to straighten it, it now takes me around 30 minutes. My hair never looks frizzy or staticy, and my hair still looks good and straight even when its hot out. And you can do so much more than straighten it which I love. You can flip, curl, wave, you name it. I always get compliments on how my hair looks when I use it. I have gotten split ends because I do my hair so much, but less often now that I'm using a chi and some heat protectant. The only bad thing I can say is that you can't change the heat setting. But other than that this is the best flat iron I've used, a GREAT buy.

When I first tried this product, I loved it. However, I realize that was only because it was a big step up for me from my previous straightener (a Conair). The truth is, there are much better straighteners out there for around the same price or less. This one only has one heat setting, which is such a pain to work with. It's also really flimsy as the plates slide left and right rather than staying firmly in place. Plus, my hair is usually very staticky after using this straightener. I don't reccommend this product at all.

I think CHI has several levels of models on the market. I would say this is their "pedestrian" model. Not as good as what your stylist would use on you at the salon. I would spend another $20 and get the higher model of CHI or spend $40 LESS and go to [...] and get the one that is advertised as "compared to the CHI" which works just as well and way less $$$$!
