I bought this product two years ago and believe me, I was in love with it. The only thing I didn't like was that it pulled my hair and it hurt a bit. But it gave me smooth, sleek, and shiny hair. But then a year and half later, it didn't want to turn on. It broke. So I mailed it to the factory where they repaired the products and they gave me a "repaired" one that was bad, oh and that one broke too. So, I would definitely not buy agin.

I bought this product because it had some pretty good reviews. I have very curly, thick hair, and the first time I used it, it worked fine. But the problem that immediately caught my attention was that it pulls on my hair. I have to hold the straightener in a certain way to minimize the pulling.

Also, at first the iron got very hot. I've had it for almost one year now, and it doesn't get as hot as it used to. It still works fine, but now it doesn't get as hot, and it still pulls on my hair.

I recommend buying the Infiniti by Conair, model # CS43. It's a lot better than this one, it's even hotter. And, it doesn't pull my hair. It's a very very good straightener for the price. Don't waste your $$ on this CS31 that pulls on your hair.

After spending alot of $$ on my previous flat iron, I researched flat irons that would give me the same results as the expensive irons. I read several positive comments about the Infinity by Conair. After purchasing it and using it only twice, I am returning it! It does not get very hot and did not straighten my wavy hair. It took me an hour to do my short hair and it still went frizzy and unmanagable. I will have to go back to purchasing the more expensive salon recommended brands.

I have color treated hair and have spent so much time with round brushes and curling irons. This hair straightener is the best I have ever used. I can wear it completely straight or curl ends under and flip it with some wax for textures. I highly recommend it. I love it.

When I started using this my hair went completely straight, frizz-free, and it stayed like that til i took a shower, and I just spent 25 minutes on it! UNBELIEVABLE! I strongly recommend this product BIG TIME!

This flat iron is excellent! I have curly hair and live in Florida; the fight with frizz is a constant battle, especially when I straighten my hair. This iron works quickly and evenly, and does not leave my ends frizzy. I highly recommend this iron as apparently, solid ceramic makes the difference.

I bought this iron after my old, cheap one died. I figured that I could buy another cheap one, or spend a little more money for a (in theory) better product. Unfortunately, this iron is actually WORSE than the one I had! I have fine, wavy, frizzy hair, and I have to go over my hair three or four times to even begin to feel like it's straight enough. When I am finished, it is pretty straight, but it's also dry and I have flyaways. In addition, the straightness doesn't last all day. I am going to bite the bullet and get a CHI.
On the positive side, though, the digital temperature selection is nice (although it doesn't get hot enough), and the design is nice.

So, my last iron broke and I wanted one that was as close to professional as possible in that it wouldn't scorch the hair. This one is ok. It works great for bangs, but I feel it tearing down the rest of my hair--which isn't good. The Revlon Professional Ceramic one works better. Less tearing feeling, and all ceramic plates for better heat.
