These tampons are great! I will never use any other tampon again. I was a little hesitant to switch to a tampon with no applicator, but when I thought of what a waste they are-- & lets just say it...it is NOT gross to use an applicator-free tampon. We are adults, you should be able to be comfortable with you body & it's not that difficult to insert. I feel so much better knowing that I'm doing something better for my body by not using a tampon that is bleached with chlorine & who-knows-what-else. It's a HUGE bonus to know that I'm not throwing away unnecessary applicators & larger wrappers & that these are biodegradeable!! DEFINETLY recommend!!!

acceptable alternative to ob

I prefer using an unbleached tampon, and these do an adequate job, but they are not as absorbent as ob. I had the same experience as another reviewer: spotting even though the tampon wasn't saturated. I don't have that problem with ob. I have not tried any other brand of "natural" (unbleached) tampons, and I wonder if Natracare is any better.

I have to echo another reviewer who found the wrapper difficult to open. A more obvious tab for opening would be a welcome improvement to this product!

Have used OB for years but wanted to switch to low chemical options. These work just as well as OB and I'm very happy with them. No spotting or leaks. Easy insert.

Applicators are just more trash on a planet that has enough trash already - so I'm all for non-applicator tampons. That being said, these are by far my preferred ones. My body prefers to not have chlorine in "sensitive places". My daughter uses these, too, and she is a swimmer.

I've been using these for years, and actually dislike having to buy another brand if I can't access these unbleached tampons. Since they are an internal product, I want use something that is the least toxic I can find. I've never had a problem with any situation with these.

A lot of other tampons cause reactions and sensitivity. This one doesn't Not only is it free from irritating and unhealthy chemicals, it works just as well as the tampons that are loaded with them.

I came to these b/c I was seeking a non-bleached tampon for vaginal health. I stay with these because they work. My teen is a competitive swimmer and this is all she uses. Neither of us has problems inserting these at all - she borrowed a tampon from a friend once with the plastic applicator and fond that to be much more awkward. If you are concerned about the environment, think how much less waste from a box of these vs. applicator tampons & you'll get past any squeamishness. Great product!

Before Seventh Generation, I hated these things. Theirs is so comfortable I hardly notice it at all. Still, the protection is superior. Just what you would expect from this natural super brand.
Try this & you will never go back to plastic!
