My back teeth are very close together and my mouth is small so its difficult for me to floss the molars. These floss picks do the trick. They do shred a bit, I use one on top and another on the bottom. I've only had one actually break and I've used these for several months. But like I said, my back teeth are very crowded,. It wears out quick and the floss is too thick. I have hard time putting in & out between my tooth. And while flossing, the pointy end keeps poking my palm. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. Try Plackers. This brand is very durable. I can easily floss my entire mouth without the floss snapping off of the pick or fraying, unlike cheaper brands. The textured pick is also great for removing calculus that forms in between your teeth. These are also convenient to carry in your purse or when traveling. Those will last for 4 or 5 flossings while I need to use a few Den Tek's just to get through one flossing as they just keep breaking. You can feel where tartar has build up with the floss and remove it with the abrasive other end. I now floss nearly every day without complaints.
