Works fine but messy to refill

The humidifier works quietly and effectively (although the output is only suitable for a small bedroom). However, due to it's cute design, it is a mess to refill. The moisture is created at the bottom of the unit, under the tank, then passes up through a hole in the tank itself. From there, it passes through the cute "hat" (in my case, an elephant snout) and into the air. So when it's time to refill, you need to take the hat off, which is covered with moisture and drips everywhere. Then you pick up the tank, which has moisture accumulated on its underside and inside the hole, and that drips all over the place too. Basically, expect a wet floor every time you fill this. I also own the Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier (sold here for [$]). It's warm steam, not cool mist. But compared to the Vicks, the Crane is far messier and the moisture output seems to be about 25-50% less per day.

We have a 6 year old and an infant who were not getting adjusted to the heater during winter time. So, we did a little research to find out which has good ease of use and reviews, based on which we finalized the Crane Adorable ones.. These are perfect, easy to use and in great looking animal shapes. Our kids love it.

I am holding out hope that Crane's customer service will respond to my report that the humidifier doesn't run consistently. It WOULD be a great product, but it seems that the part that indicates whether there's enough water available to turn into a mist (the float) is errant and has been straight out of the box. The first night we tried it, I turned on the humidifier and left the room... came back in to check on it an hour later, and the light indicating the tank was empty was on, no mist coming out. The tank was full. I've been persistant in trying to get it to work, and it's worked one full night in the 2 weeks we've owned it. If it DID run consistently, it would be great. Love the adjustable mist, the quiet operation, the lack of filter to get nasty -- the design is very smart. And as far as humidifiers go, the tank is no easier or harder than others to clean. But it is easy to fill in my bathroom sink, which is a major plus. *sigh*

I bought this hummidifier for my son's room. We had tried different brands before but had no luck. One was so loud it would keep you awake! Another was impossible to clean. This one is great. It is so quite you really don't hear. No problems cleaning it so far. Plus it is so darn cute!

My girlfriend and I get dry sinuses and skin during the winter, and she has bad allergies, so I bought a humidifier. I have noticed a difference in our quality of sleep, and my sinus problems have gone away. Overall, a nice product. It can make a little bit of noise if turned up too high (dripping, mostly), but it does not disturb my sleep. I'm sure there are other, more effective humidifiers, but I am happy with this one. For the price, it is very effective. Also, it is nicely compact, not bulky, and it's not an eyesore.
