I love the color of this eyeliner. It's not too purple, more of an amethyst brown, so it gives a subtle, smoky effect. At first I had problems applying it, but once I realized you need to "dab" it on in small strokes right on the eyelash line, rather than trying to draw a line above your eyelashes, it's now easy and quick to apply and stays on all day.

If you want purple, this is not it. Another unsuccessful purchase in my search for a violet or amethyst color liquid eyeliner. This is more grey brown than purple. You can find great violet/purple shades in pencil eyeliners, which I don't like to use.

I do a smokey eye in purple/pink because it gives a more softer look. i use a liquid liner on top lashes to give more definition to the smokey dark part. Purple is hard to find in liner because fashion dictates so I grab up any liner i can find in the right color purple. This one is a winner in all ways. Goes on clean with a single stroke and dries fast without smudges and stays on until I take it off at night (at least 10 hours)

This is a great color.It was easy to apply and easy to also achieve a straight thin line. Didnt show much on my eyelid which was fine because I wanted a subtle look but it didnt stay on. My eyelids are just to oily for this product to work.

I am not very makeup oriented but I have always liked eyeliner. I stopped using it for awhile when pencil types ran, smudged, broke, etc. This is a great product, I hope Almay never removes it, it is very easy to apply, I am brown eyed and use the purple, and the color does indeed make my eyes stand out and it lasts without running or smudging . Very forgiving in application. Highly recommended.

I was disappointed with the color of this liner. The purple amethyst looked much like my brown liquid liner. I could barely tell the difference at all. I have brown eyes and had purchased the amethyst with the hopes to "play up the brown" as Almay suggests. A true bummer.

Love love love this eyeliner! I've never really been a big fan of liquid liners, but this one really makes my brown eyes stand out. You don't have to be super exact like when you use black liquid liner, because the color is a bit metallic.
