I have been taking it for about a month now. My nails grow like crazy. I will clip them and it seems I have to clip them again within a week apart. My nails used to be so brittle that when they would try to grow, they would break off easily. Now, they are so tough I am not used to it at all. Even my toe nails are like super toe nails like my finger nails, I keep them properly trimmed of course. My hair is starting to become noticeably thicker. It is not stronger, but I am using Argan Oil for that. People are starting to notice and ask me what am I doing with my hair? I combine this Biotin with Vitamin E, and a daily multi-vitamin. I think people are not understanding how to use this product. First of all it takes about 2 weeks or more for it to begin working. As for the metabolism boost in it at first I didn't seem to notice any effect. Now, I started working out a lot and in the beginning I didn't feel hungry that much. Now I feel hungry all of the time. Have to be careful with that though just eat smaller meals. There is no magic formula out there that will cure anything over night. You need to give it time. You do not use this as a substitute from anything else. You still eat your daily meals, fruits,vegetables etc. If you are having a break out problem on your skin or face that is not what this is for. This does not cure that. Breakouts occur because your skin is producing too much oil or getting too much oil fro m somewhere. Or having a reaction to something like soap or face wash. Believe it or not sometimes facial soaps cause me to break out. Tip, wash your face daily, wash your pillow cases. Yes, wash your pillow cases once a week that is a sometimes a primary cause for break outs!! Think about it, you're sleeping in your own oils that seep out into our bedding> that gets back onto our skin and then viola, breakouts. Any who, like I said give this product time it took me about a month now into my 2nd month to see a noticeable change :)

I was really excited to try Biotin because I've heard great things about what it can do for your hair and nails. Within a few days of starting to take it, I noticed my skin was starting to break out really badly. I do have sensitive, breakout-prone skin, but this was on a whole other level. As soon as I stopped taking the Biotin, my skin cleared up again. I can't comment on how it affects nails and hair because I didn't reach that point. Having bad skin wasn't worth it for me.

Been taking biotin for about 3 weeks now, 1 tablet every single day. I still haven't noticed any real changes, my hair in the shower continues to shed. I did some research and found out that Biotin basically does next to nothing to help hair stay strong and healthy. Saw Palmetto extract and Pumpkin seed oil (capsule form) is the thing that helps hair stay stronger than ever or even possibly force it to grow back.
If you're a woman or man with shedding hair, please don't consider biotin, it won't do you any good. Save your money for herbs rather than vitamins. Excess biotin can cause nausea, I almost threw up. Without warning it just occurred.

I have been taking this for about 3 weeks. I must say I am noticing some improvments. My hair has been taking forever to grow- over 6 months for an inch. I have been noticing my roots showing faster while taking it and OMG my lashes are even longer! I didn't even think that it might help them!

I take this product daily. My nails are normally soft, split easily and peel. After using Biotin 5000 for several years, they are strong and healthy. After trying several products I'm committed to this one!
