I hope this product is NEVER discontinued. It is the only thing that really works before the fever blister or cold sore developes. As soon as I feel a "tingle", I apply it with my little finger. I get fever blisters and/or cold sores often so I hope Zilactin-L is always available. Please, please never stop making this product!

I read the reviews here and was impressed by Zilactin's passionate following, and my cold sores are such a long and crummy intrusion every couple of months, so I ordered it. To my skeptical surprise, it does seem to help! I always get cold sores in the same spot, right in the middle of my fat bottom lip, and they end up tender, scabrous, even bloody at times; Zilactin prevents those gross symptoms, and consequently I seem to heal quicker. In fact, this time around I applied before the blister formed, right at the first size of tenderness. It seems to have prevented the blistering to form almost altogether! There's only a couple of tiny blisters where normally a tremendous, ugly sore forms. I wonder how it works?! The liquid product apparently forms a sort of protective seal, which maybe keeps out the things that cause infection and pain (my lymph nodes aren't swollen, either). The lidocaine ingredient takes away the pain, and I forget about the cold sore for most of the day. In sum, a niceproduct! Cold sores are not a pleasant part of life, but so many of us suffer, and this really gives back a little bit of life during every outbreak. Thank goodness!

Found it tweny years ago. Don't try other products anymore. Why? This n eworks.

I use at first sign (tingle above or on upper lip) of a blister starting, I apply a couple drops to a qtip & hold it in area for a few seconds, then I apply 3 or 4 more times during the day which prevents it from becoming a full blister.

So I broke out monday afternoon... used it right after. By wednesday no more sore. Thursday I broke out again with a sore right next to the old. Sad to say that products that make me clear up fast, also tend to make me break out again quickly in another spot. I'm hoping this one will clear up just as fast but doesn't look promising as on day one it's didn't stop growing like the other it's still going :(

This is the best product on the market. I used it a few years ago, and when I got another cold sore recently, i was unable to find it at the stores. When I found it online, I was very happy. I bought several bottles to give to friends to try.

I use this product when a small blemish appears on my face. It's gone in no time and without the usual discomfort. Great Product.

As soon as I feel a coldsore blister coming on, I poke it with a needle then appy this Zilactic liquid. It kills the virus immediately and the cold sore starts to heal. I've tried a topical cream, but they never stop the cold sore from getting bigger. This is the only product I've found to work.

After the rave reviews, I tried this product for a cold sore that came up unexpectedly. Although it was better than not using anything at all, it did not work well for me. The cold sore continued to get worse. Finally, after two days of giving it a good try, I gave up and covered the cold sore with Abreeva and the next morning, it was almost gone. Glad it worked so well for others - just not my choice.

It's first cold sore medicine which actually works for me and my grandma. Highly recommended and you can expect a lot from a such a low price.
