Consumer Reports recommended it last year so I tried it. It's subtle and looks natural. It's just what I need to add a little color for the spring, summer, and fall.

I have very fair skin and have tried Jergens, Loreal, Dove, etc moisturizer with self tanner. As compared to the others, this produces a lighter color and so it's less likely to cause streaks, but takes more applications to make a difference. It has a slightly better smell than others--- reminds me of "iced tea" scented lotion I bought in 2007 from store that has scented products. It is shimmery and will show up on white clothes and dark clothes if you get dressed before you're dry. It is thicker than I like. It actually caused some breakouts on my legs and I have never had that before. None of these lotions are perfect, and this is among the better ones.

As stated, this is the best smelling self tanning product I have come across to date. Admittedly, chemistry may have something to do with it. Nevertheless, the after-odor is nonexistent for me. The color is a bit yellowish, especially for us alabaster types. However, I have experienced much, much worse orangey staining products; and certainly none better. Note that this IS a self tanning product. Not applying smoothly, evenly, and thoroughly will yield aesthetically unpleasing results. -- And, quickly WASH YOUR HANDS after application! Its fast absorption will facilitate the process. All in all, this product works the best of all of the many I have tried (including the pricey dept store brands), and smells the best!

I am a red head with very fair skin. This is the only self-tanner of any kind that I have found gives me a nice natural color. I use it daily and after about a week have a golden tan. After just one use my skin looks more even toned. The other major benefit is the odor. I won't say it's nonexistent, but it is definitely much lighter than Jergens.

BE-U-TI-FUL product, but can do without the smell. I always apply my lotion on right after my evening shower, and a couple of hours before I go to bed, hoping the smell will go away. I'm I willing to live with it? ABSOLUTELY! It's worth it. I use rubber gloves to avoid the discoloring of the hands, plus... it helps and makes for perfect application. No streaking, and no dark golden knees and elbows. I refuse to use any other product, and am very, very satisfied with LOreal. I've shared my experience with other girlfriends, and they too, have turned their nose up at their old product, and have begun using LOreal. Thank you for such a wonderful product, but maybe you can work on "THE SMELL!"

Well I am fair skinned and very sensitive to the sun, so I prefer sunless tanner! However I tried this one because someone told me about it. So I was excited that I could put it on before going to bed and waking up the next day dark! Well that did happen, but there was all this shimmer stuff, and when the shimmer rubbed off, I didnt look too tanned. Also I prefer putting it on before bed or after a nightly shower, and the next day when I take a shower, I notice most of it comes off. After using it a week, it seems to stay dark, but then I didnt use it for one day, and the day after, I took a shower it was all off!!! So this kind of sucks. I had better experience with Jergens!!! Also oil of Olay if you just need a little color!!!

This is by far the most natural-looking self-tanner that I have ever used. I find I have the best results if I alternate the FAIR and MEDIUM skin tone bottles though. The smell isn't my favorite, but honestly, it isn't that bad. One warning though, if you plan to exercise, plan on it 'sweating' off a little bit, more noticeable on white clothing. I get the best results by doing the application before bedtime, then showering in the morning. Application is very easy; the cream is a whitish color, so you can easily see where you haven't applied it. It has a very light sparkle effect, but it's very slight and more noticeable in the sun. This is great stuff!

I gave one star for streak-free application, one star for the moisture, and one star for shining effect. Total three stars. If you have a real fair skin, you may not care for the color very much since it appears a bit yellowish to me. Also I am not very crazy about this scent and my hands smelled bad for hours even after I had washed them.

Worked fine, but was so heavy and greasy. I ended up with breakouts on my back. The smell is also too heavy and sweet. It was really gross. I bet this would have worked great if I could stand to have it on my skin.
