Comments about Enfamil Fer-In-Sol Supplement Drops, Iron for Infants & Toddlers, 1.66 fl oz:
My toddler doesn't mind the taste of this iron although I think it tastes pretty bad. She takes it without any fussing. Like with other liquid iron supplements, it will stain the teeth but it helps to brush right afterwards. Also, the staining is temporary. Once your child stops taking the iron the staining will fade. Make sure you don't give this with a calcium containing food or drink like milk or yogurt. Calcium inhibits the absorption of iron. Wait 1-2 hours. If your pediatrician recommends that your child take iron this is a good product.

My doctor recommended we give my 1 year old son this supplement for his anemia. I mix it with a small amount of 100% juice and he does not seem to care or not like it. I know every child is different but this seems to work for my child very well.
Service and delivery comments:
My product got to me 1 day earlier than expected which is great for free shipping.

We needed a pure iron supplement without added vitamins that was safe for our dog with a liver shunt and microvascular dysplasia. This is working well for her and she likes the taste.I moderate a website for dogs with liver disease[@] and we recommendthis iron supplement when needed.

I am using this product for past 2 yrs as my 3 yrs old daughter has fe deficiency. We have been struggling hard to get her into mouth due to his bad taste. she either spits it immediately or throws up everything she eats.
Comments about Enfamil Fer-In-Sol Supplement Drops, Iron for Infants & Toddlers, 1.66 fl oz:
My 2 year old was diagnosed with "borderline iron-deficient anemia". My doctor prescribed Fer-In-Sol 6ml, 3 times a day for 6 weeks. It has a slight taste, so my child was NOT fooled when I tried to hide it in foods, etc. I gave it directly in my child's mouth and then chased it with orange juice (vitamin C promotes iron absorbtion). I also insisted on tooth-brushing after EVERY dosage to minimize staining of the teeth. My childs teeth DID get a slight greyish tint to them. However, the discoloring went COMPLETELY away within 2 weeks after stopping the Fer-In-Sol. My childs blood-level was normal after 6 weeks of taking this stuff. Editor's note: doctor's recommendation is based on customer experience, and has not been independently verified by the drugstore.com website.
Fill the dropper to the prescribed level. Dispense with a single squeeze of the dropper bulb. It is normal for a small amount to remain in the tip.
Dosage Tips: Drops may be given by dispensing directly into the mouth. Drops may also be mixed with formula, fruit juice, cereal or other foods to increase your child's acceptance.
This product comes with a child-resistant cap. Refrigeration not required. After opening, store away from direct light.
