Breast milk is recommended. When an infant formula is needed, Similac® Lactose Free Advance® provides the excellent nutrition of milk protein, but without lactose (milk sugar). Sometimes gas, diarrhea and other feeding problems may be related to lactose. Similac Lactose Free Advance contains easy-to-digest carbohydrates similar to those in Isomil® Advance® Soy Formula with Iron and is fortified with nucleotides, compounds naturally present in breast milk.

My newborn who was breastfeeding, but not getting enough, started supplimenting with formula, tried Enfamil, and others, and this worked the best on his gas and fussiness. He is much better, it takes a few days for his system to get used to the new formula if you are switvhing, but after a few days his bowel movements returned to normal, love that you don't have to mix it, wish they made 4 oz or 2 oz travel size, but 8 0z is all I can find but over all love it. Feel safe using it

I did not receive the item pictutred. Received the older version that doesnt contain the early shield. Similac now includes EarlyShield in this formula. I am going to stick with buying Similac Sensitive from the grocery store so I will know that I am getting the new kind with EarlyShield included.
Your baby's health depends on carefully following these easy directions. Ask your baby's doctor if you need to boil (sterilize) the empty bottles before adding formula.
Shake bottle very well before opening.
Pour formula into bottle or cup. After feeding, throw away any formula remaining in bottle or cup.
Storage: Recap container and prepared bottles immediately. Store in refrigerator and use within 72 hours. Store unopened cans at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures. Do not reuse container.
To Open
Shake bottle very well.
Remove protective band; twist off and clean cap.
Invert cap and place on foil seal.
Press down to pierce foil, then turn cap a half turn.
