This product isn't REALLY a moisturizer. It's more an extremely effective and gentle adult acne treatment. I use it once a day, at night, and it's cleared my previously acne-prone skin significantly. I've had no drying from it, like I do with harsher treatments. However, if you have dry skin, and need moisture, you'll need to add another moisturizer on top of this one.

I just love this product! I am 44 with occasional cystic acne, and this moisturizer has cut down on my breakouts considerably! Also, when I do get a zit (and I mean the big ones) it heals much faster and its reduced in size. I also noticed that my acne scars are minimized and my comlexion seems more even. There is a wonderful glow that this product leaves behind. This is not drying either, at least not for me--I have very oily skin. I put an extra dab on a just emerging zit and find that it heals sooo much faster. I use this along with the cleanser and it seems to work so well for me--better than proactiv and many others I've tried. I use it 2x a day everyday and no drying out of my skin--just a nice glow. I dont have wrinkles so I cannot comment on the antiaging aspect.

I'm on my 6th tube of this moisturizer because it doesn't give me headaches (benzoyl peroxide does), doesn't have horrible fumes, doesn't contain parabens, and complements the skin tone nicely as it heals the skin. This moisturizer is unique in that it "melts" the whiteheads off through the exfoliation process while keeping the skin hydrated (the anti-aging function). I use the matching cleanser as well because it seems to improve the effectiveness of the moisturizer. Hopefully, they will make this moisturizer in an SPF version soon.

I have given this moisturizer a few months of use before reviewing it. I am 24, with sensitive-combination skin, and dealing with beginning signs of aging from not taking care of my skin when younger. I also still suffer from acne breakouts. I have been using this product as a night treatment. Unfortunately, without SPF I do not feel it is suited for day use. The moisturizer is hydrating and I wake up to softer and smoother skin. While it hasn't entirely cleared up my breakouts, it does seem to keep them more under control. I also have fewer blackheads on my nose after a few months of use. As for the anti-aging aspect, it appears to be helping to prevent in my case, as I have not had any additional damage appear since I've been using this. The smell of the product is a bit odd, but mild enough that it doesn't bother me. While the price is high for a drug store product, a little goes a long way. A tube lasts me a few months with once a day application to my face and neck.

Well, I'm sorry to say that I can't at all agree with previous posters here. I've been using this product for about a month now. So far I have noticed severe dryness and tightness (it's supposed to be a moisturizer?!) and I've been getting breakouts and blackheads! I've not had this happen in years. I'm SO upset because I'd used Neutrogena Skin Clearing Moisturizer since it was first out, and of course, like all great products it was recently discontinued after many years. I just can't find anything to replace it, I've spent a fortune, and as a 44 year old who still can get breakouts it's really a disappointment. The best things I've found out there, even at 44, are ProActiv and Neutrogena. So I will re-order that. Especially since I still get so many compliments on my skin and told I look 30!

I used Retin-A 1 % for 3 years because of my acne (I am almost 31 y/o now) and about 10 months ago I started getting a horrible flaking red rash under my nose. I went to the dermatologist 3 times and the doctor twice. nothing was working! I cut out the Retin-A, I cut out the topical antibiotic, and I began washing my face with Aveeno baby wash and using this face lotion. Within 2 weeks my face started looking totally healed. I used to use the regular Olay Total Effects, until this came out. It works beautifully, my skin has absolutely no flakes, it is CLEAR TOO! And my never ending rash is GONE ....I ran out of this stuff (we are in germany) and the rash is coming back. It is a miracle and now I am dependent on it. I hope anyone who is getting older and having skin problems gives it a try. My skin is so sensitive now, after being on Retin-A. I am afraid to go back. All my prescription acne meds are not being used now, thanks to this, plus the rash is gone!

This is a bit pricey for the small tube, but it is well worth it. I've used EVERYTHING out there for anti-aging and for acne--high-end, drugstore, those ones you need a consultant for, and the ones on the shopping channels. The problem with other moisturizers and anti-aging products is they make the acne worse. This is a three-in-one solution and a little dab goes a long way, so I'm actually saving money in the long run. I use BeautiControl foam cleanser and this, and it really controls both problems. It DOES NOT do away with the acne completely, (still have an occasional breakout) but definitely keeps it under much better control. I don't have a face FULL of acne anymore. And it really leaves a healthy glow. I did not care for the cleanser of this...it's a scrub and is rather drying to me.
