Beware Babies!

After all the great reviews I thought I would give this wash a try for my adult, super-sensitive, acne-prone skin. What a disaster! This wash left my body and face itching! I tried this soap 6 times, all with the same itchy effect. My boyfriend commented this was "some strong stuff for adult skin, let alone for babies!" and I couldn't agree with him more! I did find the scent very faint and pleasant, and thought the wash was good for the feminine "southern areas," where it did not leave me itchy, but left me fresh and helped heal any rash in the area. I liked it for this reason ONLY, as it brought relief to my adult "diaper rash" from wetness issues. It's odd that on my face and body it left me screaming for lotion! I tried washing my hair with it, but it left my fine hair weighted down and I couldn't get a comb through it (even after conditioner!)! A little squirt does go far, but for the price I would like to have used it on my face and body. I cannot recommend this product for anything other than a feminine wash. Beware babies!

After reading the glowing reviews, I decided to try it for my extremely sensitive adult skin. As directed, I used a quarter sized amount as a shampoo the first time. It made my hair difficult to comb and left my scalp itchy. I tried it 2 more times using 3 times the recommended amount. It cleaned my hair a little better but I was unimpressed with the overall results. I'm going back to T-Gel and the bottle of California Baby going to the back of my closet.

I use this as a baby wash & also bodywash & shampoo for both my 9 month old and my three year old. I also use it as my own shampoo. It doesn't lather much, but you just have to get used to using a small amount and realizing it will worki.

My 2 year old twins have very sensitive skin. They have used California Baby Bubble Bath for almost a year now and it has been great. I wanted to try a new shampoo to help them with itchy scalp. This product not only didn't work....it made them even itchier!!!! I'm going back to Aveeno.

This California Baby Tea Tree and Lavender has a very pleasant smell, an appealing color and consistency and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. It produces a light lather, unlike many tea tree oil cleansers. I use it all over my body, even my face, which historically does not respond well to soaps or cleansers. This is gentle but very effective in cleaning. The Tea Tree and Lavender's anti-fungal and -bacterial properties keep my underarms fresh and surprisingly wash old deodorant away very effectively (my razor is far less gunked up after using this). It leaves no sticky residue on my body and is an effective cleanser for "delicate areas." I tried some other products, which I did not like. The smell, color and consistency, as well as the feeling it left on my skin were horrible.

I both this to use in conjunction with the Calendula Cream on my two month old. He was having issues with severe cradle cap and dry skin. I had tried using olive oil and combing the scales out, but that was not successful. After a week of using the shampoo and lotion, his cradle cap was almost completely gone and his skin is much better. I highly recommend this if your child has the same issues!

I bought it for my daughter when she was born. She's almost 8 months old now and we continue using this wonderful product. She's never had a craddle cap or any skin problems (except for baby acne when she was 3 months but it was really mild and went away in a week). It's great for adults as well! I use it as female wash.

I have used California Baby with Tea Tree oil since my daughter was a baby. It was the one thing that cured her cradle cap. Now, when her head has dandruff type symptoms, using this shampoo helps with getting rid of the gunk on her head and helps with the itching. Great stuff.

I use this shampoo all winter long to help prevent my kids from getting lice (lice hates tree tea oil). Plus, it smells great and leave their hair silky soft!

We use this to keep away head lice on our daughter (I have read tea tree oil helps). I wish it had a better lather, but that is going to happen with any tea tree oil shampoo.
