When I read the reviews I thought it wouldn't work as well for me. When I first put it on I was surprised at the moisturizing part because before using this I've used Jergens medium to dark, and it contains something, which made it heavy and greasy. It was good but if you use it to much then you end up looking orange, for the first couple days it makes you look darker and then it ends up being orange. With this its amazing color for being fake. It's so naturally looking tan. For a self tanner its very brown base tan. It's amazing, I'm hooked on this forever.

I bought this product to give my skin just a touch of sun to warm me up for spring. It is perfect! I'm kinda pale skinned and it gave me just that subtle hint that makes it look like I just got back from a sunny getaway. I love it.

I've used tanning/moisturizers before and none compare to this one. The palms of my hands don't turn orange. I especially like using this on my legs. Great tan without dry skin.

Compared the the Aveeno Continuous Radiance in a dual chamber, multi-click pump, I will base my judgment on that. (The dual chamber version of this lotion is sold on this website too) This one has advantages that most people will probably prefer: the smell is lighter, it doesn't turn your hands dark, it doesn't make your face break out if you tan your face with it, and it really moisturizes. Even though the one with dual chambers has a much stronger smell, it does an AWESOME job of tanning your body. I have decided I will use the tube for my face, and the tube chambered pump for my torso, arms, and legs. It's a perfect combo! My boyfriend loves how tan I get with any of these Aveeno products. By the way, this tube of lotion does a better job on my face than Clarins, which is supposed to the gold standard in face tanning. And it is WAY cheaper. This gives you a nice tan tone, really pretty. If you are looking for that Mystic Tan look, get the dual chambered one and use that at night before you sleep, and rinse it off in the morning.

This product gives nice even color. It also moisturizes and smooths my skin. It smells great at first, but like all self tanners it has that self tanner smell after a few hours. I put it on before bed and wipe dry areas with a tissue to ensure an even application. The smell shower off in the morning. The color is the best I have ever had from a self tanner, so I will buy this product again.

Amazing product overall. I initially purchased the fair tone and then the medium after the fair did not produce the deeper color I had hoped for. The ingredients are the best compared to other self-tanning lotions that are loaded with parabens and other chemicals I don't want soaking on my skin. Most other self-tanning lotions make my skin break out and/or the color looks too orange. The smell is not really all that offensive. Other tanners I have used have horrendous smells that seem to linger and Aveeno does not. Color results for this product are very exceptional considering all of the other products tried and tested, this is the only one that I repeatedly buy.

I started developing color only after one application. I think the best way to start and keep the tan is to first start off with one or two sessions in the indoor tanning booth, then apply this lotion moderately daily afterward. And it helps if you put on the lotion right after shower, when you skin is still moist. It takes only about 5 min to dry. Dry enough where you can put on clothes without any staining. I really think the key is to use the lotion MODERATELY and to be honest the smell isn't that bad at all!

This provides a nice glow without looking orange. I use it on my (late 40's) face every day, and body every other day. For some reason, it doesn't make my face break out, and evens out my facial skin tone. I am very careful to distribute and rub it in well. The smell is better than any other self tanner out there, but it still has an odor. After I put in on, I apply a bath and body works scented moisturizer, and it masks the smell. If people are turning orange or streaky, it's probably because they're not distributing it well enough. It can also happen if your skin is really dry. Love the stuff.

This lotion works well as a self-tanner and is moisturizing but makes me itch so much I have had to stop using it. Really, really, REALLY itchy. I compare it to getting poison oak while you have the chicken pox. Be careful if you have even the least bit sensitive skin, because this makes you so itchy you will be nauseous.

This is an excellent, moisturizing self-tanner! I have extremely pale skin as well, and it did not look unnatural on me. I agree that it "takes the white edge" off my skin and makes it look glowy and healthy, rather than orange or unnaturally brown. If you are getting streaks with any of the gradual self-tanners, then you are either experiencing some other residue (like soap or shaving creams, etc.) on your skin before applying this, or you are not applying it correctly. Tip: Lightly wipe down your ankles, knees, elbows, insides of arms with a tissue about one minute after applying and those areas will look much better.
