I moved to England two years ago from the States, and my skin has gotten really pale as a result. Since using this lotion I've got a subtle tanned look on my arms and legs. I think the color is pretty and natural looking, not orange. The way it turns out probably depends on your skin tone...I've got a slightly olive complextion. The reason I gave this product only 4 stars is that it runs out a lot quicker than my other lotions. But this is the only tanning lotion I've ever used, so I don't know if that's normal for all of them. Also, be sure to wash your hands really well after using it, and the color comes out darker on dry patches of skin!

I have to give this product 2 stars because of the smell and the orange color. I thought I would give it a try after reading all of the positive reviews, but I wish I hadn't. The smell is more pleasant than Jergens, but still pretty bad and really strong. I had a couple streaks, but the orange color it left my legs was the worst. The Dove Energy Glow is so much better, and I highly recommend that one over this.

I loved it! I have very pale legs, and this stuff was coloring them perfectly in about 3 days. I have never used a tanning lotion before, but I know that this is the one I'll always buy!

I am a huge fan of these "glow" lotions, as I am naturally as white as a ghost, and most self tanners look way too fake on me. I recently tried the Aveeno and was pretty impressed. The others go on stickier and you need to wait a few minutes for them to dry. This Aveeno seems to dry immediately. It has no odor and produces a very natural looking tan quickly. They all seem to work well but if I had to choose, I would rank Aveeno at the top of the list, followed by the Hawaiian Tropic. I also recommend going with a medium shade...light is very subtle, even for me, and I am the whitest of white. I suggest choosing the shade you want to be...not what you are. It is tough to make a mistake, as these all build a glow gradually.

After reading the other reviews, I had to try this product. As everyone says, it is awesome! It smells soooo nice -- I threw out the Jergens because it smelled horrible. And, even with fair skin, I followed others advice and bought the Medium Skin version and it works great, looks natural, and is easy to apply. I do like the L'Oreal Sublime Glow too -- the shimmer it offers is pretty, and it also has a nice smell.

After reading the rave reviews from other customers, I decided to try this over other products. This is a great product. The color lasts several days, it doesn't have an odor, it washes off my hands easily and the coverage is even. I've gotten several compliments on my "tan." I have a little sun, but this really does even out the spots (bottom of arm, strap lines) that get less exposure.

I normally cannot tolerate any scents (migraines), but I bought this after reading the reviews, and have to admit, this scent is so light it's as if I just came out of the shower, not put on a self-tanner. I know it says it's a gradual shade, but it took me about 15 minutes and I was tan, not an orange tan AT ALL! I really can't believe how well this works. For those who hate perfumes, get this one. It's VERY light.

I have tried several of the moisturizers with self tanner, and this is by far my favorite. It leaves a nice, natural looking color and compared to the other brands, does not have as many scary-sounding ingredients. Also, I agree with the other reviews--the smell is actually somewhat pleasant. Jergens, which I used last summer, smells pretty bad. Just as a note, I am pretty fair-skinned, but bought the medium skin tone variety. I have found through trial and error that the lotions for fair skin tones usually do not make that much of a difference in my skin color after using. Just something to keep in mind.

I have had my fair share of self-tanning disasters but so far, I LOVE THIS STUFF! Doesn't smell bad and moisturizes well. The part I like best is the gradual darkening. Even with halfway decent self-tanners, everyone knows you're faking when you go home white one day and come back tan the next. This is definitely good stuff.

Controlling streaks is easy, it doesn't cast a strange orange glow, and it works quickly. However, DO wash your hands - they're not kidding.
