I love this product for my thick, curly/wavy hair. I wash my hair every other day, and this works great. I straighten my hair with a blow dryer, and this conditioner helps keep it frizz-free. At first I thought it was a little light for my "big" hair, but the results are in the blow-drying. I like the fact that it doesn't have a lot of chemicals either.

I think the important variable here might be whether you have hard or soft water. I have hard water (which is why I want to use a natural conditioner - the white vinegar trick doesn't work for me) and this conditioner leaves my hair sticky and not very soft. I found that it's better if I rinse it very thoroughly...extremely thoroughly. It's not sticky with copious rinsing, but it's not soft or shiny either. I can get a comb through it, which is an improvement over shampoo alone (I use a diluted castile soap shampoo, for reference). I think the scent is different than in past formulations...it smells like sugar beets (which I don't think is pleasant). The newest formulation does not include "fragrance", which is probably what other reviewers were using. The good news is that removing "fragrance" brings down the rating in the EWG database, but this product still contains Cetrimonium Bromide, which is an ingredient that worries me. I think I'm still searching for a good "natural" conditioner....

I hated this the first week or two, it felt gross and there was more hair in my drain (from it removing residue/polymers from my old chemical shampoos). BUT luckily I stuck with it, and after my "Burt Detox" period, it's been awesome :) Only shampoo your hair every other day. Make sure hair is VERY wet, coat your hair from roots to ends with shampoo and massage GENTLY through hair (little suds). Rinse. Shampoo again, massaging WELL into your scalp (lotta suds). I think the first shampooing gets the dirt/product out so the second shampooing cleans your scalp. Make sure you follow with the conditioner!

This conditioner smells fantastic, but does not really moisturize my hair. I felt my hair was dry, not shiny and healthy. There are lots of better conditioners out there.

I wanted to love this, but after a few weeks of using it, my hair was a wreck. I could hardly get the comb through it after rinsing, which had never happened with any other conditioner I had used before, and I would up with a lot of breakage and flyaways. I threw the unused portion away; it was just that bad, although I am one of those people who uses up every last drop of everything before recycling the bottle. I know some have had great luck with this product, but if you are unsure about it, stay away! It was a waste of money for me.

I use this with the corresponding shampoo and also the avocado pre-shampoo treatment. Despite it not feeling all slick like chemical conditioners I don't use more than it says. My hair is shinier and softer than it has been in a long time. I love it!

I used this conditioner and the shampoo that goes with it, and loved the smell. However, about 6 hours after showering, my hair was very, very greasy and smelled bad, and I hadn't worked out or sweated a lot. My hair was limp, dull, and looked very unhealthy.

I'm trying to convert to natural products after using Nexxus moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, and am still trying. This product dried my hair out so badly, and in the winter, left it fly away and full of static. I don't even think my husband will use this, and he's not picky at all - it's just that bad. I've read reviews that seem to indicate anyone with oily hair would like this, and that makes sense from what I've experienced since my "normal-to-dry" hair didn't like it AT ALL!

Really like this product. It adds shine, smells good and is earth friendly!!!

I loved that this conditioner was so mild. I looked it up at Skin Deep and it's a low hazard product--which is what I was looking for. However, healthy and natural isn't everything if the product doesn't work. It left a greasy layer on my hair and didn't condition it. The smell was also very unpleasant.
