I love Brylcreem, but I think it's in a niche market. It works great and smells good, and holds your hair the way you want it all day. I love that it doesn't dry my hair out, but keeps it relatively moist to the touch, but never looks greasy. I do contest the "little dab" saying though--I usually use multiple little dabs because a little bit doesn't do a lot for me (but that's probably because I have a lot of hair). It was very interesting the first time I used Brylcreem, it reminded me of sun screen lotion--the color, texture, smell. But so far, it works great.

Okay, I'm a girl, but I have very short hair (about an inch or less all around) and I am thrilled to bits to find this stuff online. I have tried many products to deal with my hair, but it just seems like women's hair products typically have way too much hold (I'm constantly fiddling with my hair, so it has to be touchable when I'm done styling), or just plain aren't designed with very short hair in mind. I started using Brylcreem sort of by accident: when I was living in Ireland, I hadn't brought any hair stuff with me when I moved, so I bought whatever I saw first. Even though it smells a bit like 'old man,' it does a fantastic job with keeping my thick, super-poofy hair in check. Just don't use too much or you'll feel super-slimy.

This is the stuff that Ronald Reagan used on his shiny black pomp hairdo. It really creates a classic American 1950's look. I recommend using control wax to get your hair to lay down how you want it, and then add this to give it that classic shine.

This stuff rocks! Stay away from those Gels and sprays. "Brylcreem" is the best.

Price is excellent. Product is OK. Smell is decent. Only very little is needed to provide a good shine, with VERY little hold. If you use too much, expect a greasy feeling head. Even though this product is priced right and does what it is supposed to, I will likely switch back to the more expensive, excellent Bumble and Bumble Creme.

This is the most long-lasting, vitality-restoring and altogether amazing hair product I have EVER used, and I've used a lot! With this stuff in your hair, it will look healthy, alive, and supple even several days after you last used it. If you're a true individualist and you've got a sense of style, and an eye for a grand old tradition, pick up a tube of Brylcreem pronto! You won't go back to that gel or moose malarkey!!!
