I have purchased this dryer twice now and after about one year, both stopped working correctly. First I was not able switch to hot any longer so I started to hold the button down which created heat for a couple of weeks (as well as a burning smell)and then it stopped creating heat all together even with the button pushed. It was a great dryer when it worked but I've had blow dryers costing half as much lasting 5 years. I have given up on this blow dryer.

I generally shower at night and blow dry my hair. When I wake up on morning I don't want to blow dry my hair again, in the past that was the problem. I have short hair and it sticks out everywhere. Now with the CHI rocket I don't have that problem. It's like a dream come TRUE!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, IT!!

My old hairdryer made my hair look flat. This one is great b/c it has a solid stream of air and dries my hair quickly and effectively. I only wish I can have medium heat at a higher air speed. But this is a great dryer and worth the price.

I bought this dryer to replace my T3 Tourmaline, which finally broker after years of heavy use. They are both great dryers, but I feel this one dries my hair faster. My stylist uses this dryer which is why I ended up going with this one, she always mentions how much she loves it because it is so good and lightweight, and quiet for that much power. My only complaint is the placement of the temperature control button, it's right where I normally hold the handle, so I often hit it and reduce the temperature to cool, but I'm learning to hold the handle a little further down, it's definitely not a deal breaker. The cool feature is nice too, you can put the temp on cool and it stays there without having to hold down the button like on most driers. The high heat setting, does get very hot, but that helps get my hair straighter.

My husband and I use this dryer, it broke, the wire has loosened going in to the bottom shorting it as you dry. We have had this 2 years. I have very long straight hair, my husband has short curly hair, and we both really like this dryer. Its deceptively fast at drying. You think with how quiet it is it will take forever, but it works beautifully. So we are getting our second. I have also previously used salon dryers, top of the line from Italy. They work fine too but tend to be heavier and break down easily - esp since I run the dryer longer to ry my long hair - it overheats and breaks in under a year. So, this has not happened at all with this dryer!
