I've used this product for over 14 yrs (the older version same brand). And, bought 1 last year b.cos my old one was already breaking down - but its life span is amazing and always had the same wonderful results til the end. I bought another one as a gift to a relative - she absolutely loves it! It's the best gift for a woman!

Let me say I have very thick dark hair. Unfortunately, this goes for my legs as well! Because my leg hair is so thick and course, shaving irritates my upper thighs and I need to shave at least daily to keep my legs smooth. I can't afford professional waxing, but I've done home waxing for years. HATED it...waxing is time-consuming and messy. I finally decided to try this epilator after reading the reviews. It was uncomfortable the first time I used it because it was ALL my leg hair (kind of like tiny bee stings) but not as bad as waxing. It took out so much hair I thought it must just be breaking them off. NOT so! It DID pull the hair out by the roots, better than waxing and no mess. Plus, when the hairs that were missed grow back, it is very easy to plug the thing in and get 'em. IT REALLY WORKS. I love this thing! I can go camping for a week, take a vacation from shaving, wake up in the morning with smooth legs, miss shaving for days. If you hate shaving or waxing your legs, you'll love this. Portable, no mess, simple to use. As for the cons, I can't find anything wrong about it. So what if it's noisy? It's a little uncomfortable, but if you've waxed before you'll accustomed to that. It's a price I'll happily pay.

I thought that the machine was pretty soft in that it didn't really hurt too much. As opposed to the blue braun epilator, this one was a lot more gentle but at the same time, less efficient. I had to go over the hairs several times before I got the job done, but it still gets done quickly. It only has only a few speed and head types but you don't really need them anyway since this one is so gentle. bikini is harsh all the time anyway but this one makes it pretty bearable. probably a good epilator to start with for legs and underarms.

It performed better than I expected. Left my skin feeling like I just had a wax from a salon. Can't wait to try it under my arms. Well worth the money I spent on it.

This machine is amazing! I did my legs 12 days ago and all I have is a few rare dark hairs coming in and lots of soft downy blonde tiny hairs. They still feel incredibly smooth. No stubble! It is a bit painful. I am pretty much a total wuss and I would put it at about a 5 out of 10. For the legs, it's not so bad. Underarms, bikini area, neck and chin and lip area - really bad. If you want to do your "sensitve areas", I suggest you ask your doctor or practitioner for a prescription for "Emla" cream. It is a topical anesthestic cream. You put the cream on and leave it on for 45 minutes. I used Emla to do my neck and face and underarms and it was.... tolerable. Sharp, stingy pain for a few moments. My legs, I could handle without any cream.

I have been using an epi for over 25years. From the original spring to now the tweezers. Trust me the tweezers are much less painful. I am disappointed in this brand. There are not enough tweezers, so it takes longer to use. You have to make too many passes to remove the hair. What used to take me 10-15 mins to shave,now takes 30-45 mins. I will go back to my Emjoi.

This product is awesome for my legs and I've been using it for over a year. Yes, it does hurt the first time you use it, but the results are worth it. I was having very thick black hair growth that could be seen under the skin, especially on the back of my legs (calf area). Since I've been using the epilator, I don't have that problem. I do need to use it every day to really keep my legs hair-free, I am quite hairy so always seem to have a few popping out every day. I also tried to use this for my bikini area and it would have been super except that I began getting nasty ingrowns. I tried to go back to shaving my bikini but it was too late, the hairs were already growing in weird directions and the bumps continued. It has been a terrible nightmare and I tried everything- exfoliated daily, got medicated bikini gel, tried to pull out the hairs before they turned into ingrowns. Nothing really worked and I now have scars to show my struggle. I finally settled on laser hair removal for that area.
