It's not a miracle cure for fine lines, etc. but it does help and it's all natural. So far this is the best I've found but I'm finding that all the C. Booth products are of very good quality and at a very reasonable price.

I wasn't keen on spending much cash on this, but it turns out I really like it. I am not sure about the efficacy of any eye cream, but I use it anyway! This one is nice to apply and leaves no greasy residues afterwards. Great to prep your skin for make up or rejuvenate at night. I do not like licorice or its taste so I wasn't sure about the cream. but the taste is so light and faint it doesn't bother me at all. and within seconds you can't notice it anymore.

I have used many eye creams, and this is my favorite. It is really creamy and really feels nice on my eyes. It also does not make my eyes sting or water like some other eye creams do. And it is a great price! Most eye creams are so expensive compared to this one, so it's all around the best eye cream I have found.

Pros: Not greasy

Best Uses: Daily Use, Normal skin, Sensitive Skin

I'm 45 and have taken good care of my skin since I was 16. I don't have lines or wrinkles around my eyes and my skin isn't dry. So, I don't need any of the "high powered" anti-aging eye creams (yet). I've tried MANY eye creams and I've settled on this one lately. It provides good moisture without being greasy and it is a great price. It does have that licorice smell - but it isn't overpowering - only if you sniff the jar!

I use this eye cream at night. It gently moisturizes the area around the eye. I have been using it for a couple of years and have never had any irritation.

Pros: Gentle, Improves Skin Texture, Leaves Clean Feel, Moisturizing, Not Greasy
Cons: none
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Best Uses: All Skin Types, Daily Use
Bottom Line: recommended
I have been using this product every morning and night for two weeks. I can't say I notice a huge difference, but, I do think there has been some inprovement in the texture of the skin around my eyes. I also like the way it goes on. It is smooth and creamy without being greasy. My make up goes on easily over it. I also think it has taken the slight puffiness I had away. It does smell like black licorice, but, it's not a strong smell. I will be buying this again when my pot is empty!

Pros: Balances Skin, Gentle, Improves Skin Texture, Leaves Clean Feel
Cons: none
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: All Skin Types, Daily Use, Occasional Use
Bottom Line: recommended
I adore this product. I bought this purely on a whim and was in love with it the second I put it on. The smell is very faint and fades after a few minutes. It is excellent at moisturizing. Nothing is going to completely get rid of your dark circles or fine lines, it's not a miracle product (nothing is!) but it does exactly what it says. It goes on very smooth and soaks in right away. I put my makeup on right after I use this product. I love Booth's other facial products too. This is a product I am going to stick with!
Booth's Black Licorice Eye Cream rates 1 out of 5 stars, from 64 customer reviews. Not so great
by A[Verified Reviewer] in Ohio on 12/7/08
Pros: Brightens
Cons: Ineffective, Irritates Skin
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: Occasional Use
Bottom Line: not recommended
I had read all of the great reviews and was excited to try this product, especially since it was reasonably priced. The first night I used it I noticed that it stung a little, but figured that was to be expected with a new product. I tried to use it for a week, but it stung consistently everytime I used it. I gave my skin a break and tried again, but with the same results. (I also accidentally got it in my eye once and it hurt terribly!) Any brightening that I noticed wasn't worth my eyes feeling irritated all of the time. I know it works really well for some, but it's way to harsh for by my eyes.

This is a great cream at a great price. It moisturizes without being greasy and has been great for my sensitive skin. And I've tried a lot of eye creams! I'm buying my second jar.
