This product works well on my hair, which is very fine but I have a lot of it, as my hairdresser puts it. I spray on damp hair, then after blow-drying, I use a good flat iron to bump it up a little, then brush it out, then spray with some good hairspray (a different brand). I'm disappointed though because I see it contains parabens, which are a no-no for health and the environment. (For some reason I assumed it would be paraben-free.) Anyway, sadly, I will probably look for something else to replace it. Plus, if it's not on sale, it's too pricey for me.

I've been using the Jonathan Product Serious Volume line for years and thought I'd give this a try. Though I could live without it, I find it does what it promises and adds lift to the roots. It's easy to use and doesn't leave hair stiff or sticky.

It is easy to direct the spray right onto the roots. The lift stays, even after combing through my hairstyle. My hair does not feel 'coated' with product, which is the case with all the other gels, sprays, and liquids I have used..

This product gives my lifeless hair lift at the roots. I can brush through it to smooth it out, or just spray it and have a "teased" look. It IS easy to brush through.

I just discovered this product, and now don't ever want to be without it. It is the best thing out there for fine/thin hair, which unfortunately I've had my whole life. I love it because it does give major volume that is not hard or sticky feeling and it is volume that lasts all day. First when styling my hair, I use the Sexy Concepts Big Sexy Hair Mousse. Then once my hair is just a little damp, I spray this at the roots and finish blow drying with a round brush. I find it works best on slightly damp hair. On dry hair, it will make by hair a little frizzy. Now my hair looks much thicker and has more bounce. I'll definately be back to buy more.

This product is AMAZING! My hair is normally very straight and flat. I've tried so many products throughout the years and nothing ever worked. If it did, it only lasted a few hours before my hair was flat again. This however, lasts until you wash it out. It gives my hair natural volume and doesn't smell bad like a previous reviewer said. I loved this so much I bought the volumizing shampoo and conditioner by Jonathan too.

This will be the third can of Root Lift I've purchased; it does an amazing job of volumizing both at the root and the rest of the hair - can be used for big hair or just volume. I don't discern a bad smell; I think it smells fine - no getting used to like the "dirt" products. Great product!

I was disappointed in this product because it stinks! Literally, it just smells yucky, so I never use it. Don't waste your money, buy his Dirt product instead.

Spray directly onto damp or dry hair roots, distributing product evenly 1-2 inches in length from root. Style as usual. Also can be applied when blow-drying, lifting hair in sections while spraying product on roots where extra volume is desired.
