I think this is a quality product that is not meant to be put in your mouth. I don't understand the reviews where people say that it tastes bad. Do these people make it a common practice to eat soap? I don't mind the anti-bacterial "hospital like" odor that comes from this product. It does a good job and is a superb value.

It's not listed on the ingrediants list (active or inactive) but this contains denatonium benzoate. It's fairly obvious from the *incredibly* bitter/awful taste this product has. Not planning on drinking it you say? Neither was I. My problem was that it made my hands taste so bad that it kind of discouraged eating as well... If you were planning on using this when you can't wash your hands before a quick meal -- well, don't! 1 star awarded for having an ingredients list that doesn't list what's in the product!
This product used to be much better, but then they decided to add needless "froo-froo" ingredients that make it greasy. Meanwhile, they made the bottles smaller and raised the price. This is definitely the "Classic" Coke sydrome; take an excellent product and ruin it.
We use this in the barn. (Guess I never noticed the smell!) We use a lot of it, so the price is important. Dries quickly and doesn't dry out skin. Recommend.
this sanitizer has the worst smell ever. i cant eat after i use it because the smell is so putridly sweet. it doesn't have the same smell as normal hand sanitizers and it is horrible. buy another brand instead.
I'm on immunosurpressing medications and have to be careful not to get sick. Working for a college it's difficult. I keep a bottle of this at my desk and love it! Purell and other sanitizers leave my hands really dry, germ-x never dries them out! The smell is strong but goes away quickly.
I keep smaller bottles and refill with the larger bottles. Use for hands, cleaning public toilets for kids to use, scrapes and boo boo sanitizer, mosquito bite soother...
