I have very thick (you can't see my scalp) hair that's straight and very oily. Even after lathering twice and skipping the conditioner and styling cream, my hair hung in clumps, meaning it was still greasy after drying it. I'm waiting for Sunsilk to come out with anti-grease. If you have oily hair and only want a drugstore product I recommend Suave Daily Clarifying. If you want to pay more or know a professional, get Iso Pure Cleanse, it cleans the grease out, and therefore boosts your volume. This was okay for taking on vacation.

I have short wavy brown hair on the dry side, and I am trying to grow it out. It does clean well and rinse out, but Anti-Flat conditioner does not ever feel like it rinses out and my hair looks flat after I blowdry it. I've been using it for about a couple of months. Now my hair is really dried out. I don't think it is good for dry hair.

This shampoo does NOT deliver!! I bought this because I live in a very dry climate and I have very thick, naturally curly and fine hair that I straighten with a flat iron. Due to our dry weather, straightening my hair just made it flat and limp, so I bought this hoping it would help. It came with free samples of the conditioner and styling cream. I used all three products together and there was absolutely no change at all. I don't care for the way these products smell either-- sort of like bananas, which fades after a short time, thankfully. To me, it's worth it to spend a little more money to get something that actually works-- this stuff does NOT.

Not sure I'd give it even 1 star. Don't waste your money - I have thick, fine hair, and it didnt do a thing for it except make it feel dried out and rough.

Anti-Flat shampoo and conditioner are my absolute favorites! My hair [fine, bra strap length, very straight] is left with a lot more volume, and also very soft and very shiny. "Halo" shiny! I need just a bit of each product to wash and condition my hair. They both have a nice texture and smell great. I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for 5 months now, and it is the only combo that actually leaves my hair with more volume. I was convinced the only way to do that was with styling, but I can let my hair air dry when I use the Anti-Flat. HG!

Great products! I use the shampoo, conditioner, and cream together, and it does wonders for my super-oily hair. Both the shampoo and conditioner rinse totally clean, and leave my hair full of movement and shine. These products rival my favorite professional haircare products.

I don't think this lives up to its reputation at all. It might give lift to those people with thick hair, but for someone with thin hair, or hair that is thin-shafted, it won't improve the volume at all. Don't waste your money. The matching conditioner is just as bad, and leaves your hair too soft!!

The best cheap volumizing shampoo I've found. However, I tend to have a very oily scalp, and even this can dry my hair and scalp out. Might be best for humid environments or summer use.

I am a licensed professional hair stylist, and I bought this product to try on my own hair. My hair is thin and straight. I've tried every volumizing shampoo sold in the last 20 years. Mostly, I've always been disappointed; Sunsilk is the exception. I'm very pleased with the results. It smells nice. It lathers, rinses and cleans well; a little goes a long way. It doesn't dry-out my hair. It doesn't leave my hair sticky or greasy like most volumizer shampoos do, and it adds a lot of volume and fullness. As with any shampoo or hair product, what works great for one hair type doesn't always work for another. For this price, try it and see for yourself.

I have fine, straight hair. I have tried so many voluminizing shampoos, none of them worked. Sunsilk made my hair fluffy, shiny, and with a lot of body. I love it!
