This little clock is going straight to charity, and I pity the poor soul who buys it. It's OK that it is difficult to figure out how to work it. It's attractive and doesn't take up much room. I'm not sure what the long wire is for - like the old wire hanger on top of an old TV...
But it is almost impossible to read at night. The clock is so bright that you can't see the numbers. By the time you get your eyes focused on it, and figure out what time it is, you're awake. It lights up the entire room, so for something that is supposed to soothe you to sleep, it does the opposite.

I bought this for my bathroom, to cover bathroom noises and to get the time and enjoy classical music while taking bubble baths. I am being very careful to keep it away from water.

First 3 days, it worked like a dream. Suddenly it stopped. I unplugged, took out batteries, re-read instructions and prayed over it. Then I put batteries back in, plugged it back in, gave it a love pat and walked away. Suddenly at midnight, the radio came on loud and clear.

I re-set the two alarms at fantasy alarm times. I don't need an alarm. Apparently, it does. Now, at 11:30 am and 11:30 pm, it comes on with a rush of sound, as I prefer - not radio - every 10 minutes. I hit the "snooze" button 3 times at 10-minute intervals. Then I hit the "power" button once.

The Dream Machine and I are now in sync.

I got this for myself because I was tired of using my mobile phone for an alarm clock. I would have given it 5 stars but, for me, the light (of the clock) is very bright... and I mean BRIGHT... there is no way to adjust it. Other than that, it works great and it's nice to wake up to the sound of a running river instead of a nasty buzzer. My favorite of the sounds is "ocean waves," the "heartbeat" sound is a little CREEPY though. If you have a baby, kiddies afraid of the dark, etc, this clock might be just the thing for you!

I've only used the product a few times as I bought it to use in quiet hotel rooms. So far it's worked perfectly and very effectively.

I have had this for over a month. It works well and I DO like the sounds. Was definately tired of waking to a screeching alarm. It is a little dificult to figure out at first. And, I think the instructions were worded by an ESL student. But I like it and would buy another one.

I'm listening to it on the monitor as I write . I purchased this to simulate the turbo air purifier for my children (2 yrs., 7 mos.) when we travel and it has been a life saver. It drowns out all of the "late night" action going on.

It's wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves or a towering waterfall and then wake up to one's favorite radio station.

I use this product to sleep during the day as I work the night shift. It cuts out most of the noise. I like the clock, but the noises are very similar. Also, it will default back to the original sound each time. However, it will run continously without a problem. I have not tried the alarm or radio, but like to know they are there if needed. Overall, a good sound maker.

i've used this clock (purchased elsewhere) for my infant son, for close to two years. i use his solely for the white noise function, and (knock on wood) i haven't had a problem. when i needed a white noise machine for my daughter, i wanted the same one and found the best deal on drugstore.com. when i received the first one, a few of the noise selections did not work. [...] the replacement clock worked better, but not entirely. one sound still did not work at all, and another one (the one i needed), worked only if i pushed the button very hard. i'll deal with it, i thought. we used it without a problem for 4 or 5 nights, and the following day i found the clock lit, but without function- no noise, no time, no sound- only the blue light. i am returning this one and will not be taking a chance on another :(

I really like this clock/sound machine and find the selection of soothing sounds to be numerous and varied. I especially like that the sounds will play all night, which is why I bought this item. It helps to mask outside city noises that often awaken me. There is a dimmer option to reduce the glare of the time display which is helpful. Overall, a great product at a decent price. I love it...
