great value for the price. foams quickly and easily. Very smooth. Face feels great after shaving. does not dry it out, moistens it. I'm new to double edge shaving but love it. Have tried several soaps, so far I think this is the best all around soap. I'm not going to spend a lot for fancy shaving soaps. Smell is fine, foams well, lathers great, leaves my face smooth, soft, and feeling great. great value.

It provides a smooth shave but not too crazy about the smell. It does come in a air tight plastic holder so after use you don't have to smell it as much as if it was left out in the open

During my break-in process of transitioning from the multiple-blade disposable shavers back to the DE safety razor system, I am trying a number of shaving soap products to find a preferred product. I found the Van Der Hagen product line at my local Meijer's store and purchased a number of them. It will probably be a few months before I've evaluated all the shaving soap products I've purchased locally and off the Net and settle on a single product.

For the price this is the best "cheap" stuff there is. I get more and better lather with this and a lot easier than I do with some of the higher end european pucks. Also you can give it a squirt of Kiss My Face Moisture Shave and make some Super Lather your sensitive skin will really like.
I like the little plastic cup with lid it comes in, I keep it in that. Will be good for travel.

I really LOVE this mug shaving soap. I tried "another brand" on my last order, one of those glycerin type shaving soaps,I am SO GLAD to have my Van Der Hagen Deluxe back !!

It works well and is a very good value. Compared to Williams, it provides a better glide, not as good a lather, but the smell is way worse. It smells like the unscented lotions. An oily like smell.
